A 27-year-old Technion graduate is close to selling the startup he founded 2 years and 10 months ago to Elon Musk for $6 billion. At 23, Dean received his PhD from the Technion… More precisely: at 23, Dean earned his doctoral degree from the Technion after completing the excellence program for gifted students (תוכנית המצטיינים). His studies took only 11 semesters, and his average grade of 98.2 ranked among the top 5 in the university’s entire history. For his dissertation, the young genius received a national award and completed a postdoctoral fellowship (his fourth degree) at the National University of Singapore. Incidentally, he combined his studies at the Haifa university with service in the elite Unit 8200, where he received a grant from the Ministry of Defense (on a classified topic). Yes, Dean is an IDF officer. But that is, of course, not the story I intended to distract you with. His company Decart is generating enormous interest in the world of artificial intelligence. The platform created by Dr. Leitersdorf’s team was the target of a $4 billion acquisition attempt by NVIDIA a year ago, but Musk is not merely paying $6 billion. If the deal goes through, SpaceX will build its AI center in Israel based on Decart AI, and the mega-project will be led by the 27-year-old Technion graduate from Haifa. Israel is joining a very small club of countries that define the meaning of the future—creating next-generation AI technologies (deep-contact AI). And this Israel has a face: a very young man named Dean Leitersdorf.❤️🙏

Thank you to every performer, participant, volunteer and organiser who made #NDP2026 so special. Together, we went beyond! 🇸🇬

Tomorrow, we celebrate the United States and the ideals that have inspired generations: liberty, democracy, and opportunity. 🚨 Carlo Ancelotti on why he did not celebrate wildly after Gabriel Martinelli’s late winner for Brazil against Japan: 🗣️ “People asked me why I didn’t celebrate, but football is also about respect. Yes, we were happy to win, but I looked across and saw a Japanese team that had given absolutely everything. They fought with incredible courage, and I know exactly how painful a defeat like that can be.” “Of course I celebrated inside because my responsibility is to Brazil and qualifying was our objective. But I’ve been in football for many years, and I’ve experienced both victory and heartbreak. Sometimes the best way to respect your opponent is to remain humble in your biggest moments.” “Japan made us suffer for ninety-five minutes. They deserved our respect, not exaggerated celebrations. Brazil are through, but we know we must improve. Tonight we celebrate the qualification, but tomorrow we go back to work because the World Cup only gets more difficult from here.” Carlo Ancelotti is a legend {@FoxNews }

Happy birthday to Sir David Attenborough, who turned 100 on May 8. Did you know? Sir David Attenborough’s family opened their home to two Jewish sisters, Irene (13) and Helga (12) Bejach, who escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 on the Kindertransport (a rescue effort which brought nearly 10,000 mostly Jewish children from Europe to safety in Britain)? For seven years, Irene and Helga lived as part of the Attenborough family, living in Leicester alongside David, his brothers Richard and John, and their parents, Mary and Frederick. “When they came to tell us that Hersh had been executed, then I realized that those 330 days had been the good part, because he was alive. And now I'm in this place... How do I walk through this place without a piece of me here?” says Rachel Goldberg-Polin, whose son was executed by Hamas in 2024. cbsn.ws/4sU4UiI

I watch this video every Yom HaShoah Remembrance Day. And I cry each time, because it revives my hope in humanity! This is Nicholas Winton, who rescued 669 (mostly Jewish) children from Czechoslovakia during the Holocaust & brought them to Britain in the Kindertransport.

A rare 8th-century BCE stone seal from the biblical Kingdom of Judah was discovered during construction of the Ein Tut Interchange in northern Israel. Four pomegranates are carved into the upper section of the seal, while the other two sections contain an ancient Hebrew inscription reading: “Belonging to Makhach (son of) Amihai” the IAA explained. 📸 @AntiquitiesIL

Eitan was a friend and also a hero. He was a pioneer of peace in every way. The first thing I did on my last visit to Israel was to go straight from the airport to dinner with him & our friends. I will miss him. He leaves behind a better world. May his memory be a blessing.
