4 data leaks reported today:
1. Coinbase's vendor Amplitude exposed some users’ contact data (funds unaffected).
2. Bithumb (Korea) had user data leaks.
In TradFi, two securities firms in Korea leaked data:
3. Mirae Asset
4. Daishin Securities
You can't prevent a leak, but you can protect yourself.
Leaked exchange data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, ID documents, transaction history) is mostly used for phishing, SIM swapping, and social engineering.
Reduce info you share
- Use a unique email alias for each exchange (SimpleLogin, Apple Hide My Email, etc). A leak then can't be linked to your other accounts, and you can spot which service leaked.
- Share only what's required. Don't add optional profile details.
- Use a dedicated phone number (a VoIP or secondary SIM) for exchange accounts if you can, since leaked numbers are the main route to SIM swaps.
Lock down the account
- Use a unique, long password from a password manager.
- Turn on hardware security keys (YubiKey) or passkeys, or at least an authenticator app.
- Avoid SMS 2FA.
- Enable withdrawal address whitelisting and a withdrawal time lock if the exchange offers them.
- Set up an anti-phishing code, which puts a code you choose in every legitimate email from the exchange.
- Review active sessions and API keys regularly. Delete any API keys you don't use.
- Restrict API keys to withdraw-disabled and IP-whitelisted.
Defend against
- SIM swapping: Ask your carrier to add a port-out PIN or number lock.
- Phishing and impersonation: Assume anyone who contacts you about your account, "security issues," or "refund recovery" is a scammer, even if they know your name, balance, or recent trades.
- Exchange support staff don't ask for your password, 2FA codes, or seed phrase.
- Never click links in emails or texts. Go to the site yourself.
- "Wrench attacks": Leaked addresses plus holdings data have led to real-world extortion and robberies. Don't publicize your holdings, and keep large balances out of anything tied to your home address if you can.
If a breach is announced
1. Change the exchange password and any other account that reused it.
2. Check haveibeenpwned.com for your email address.
3. Revoke API keys and active sessions.
4. Review recent withdrawals and security settings.
5. Watch for phishing emails and texts that reference the breach, because scammers move fast after one.
Stay SAFU! 🙏

Not crazy, but the weak spot is setup. That phone was online when you installed the wallet, so you're trusting the app store, the app, and an old OS that no longer gets patches.
And every time you take it out to move funds, it has to come back online. A hardware wallet signs offline, and your keys never touch the internet.
If you want the vault approach, put a multisig across two devices from different makers in the vault 👌
Meanwhile, Zclassic keeps moving forward over a decade strong, block after block. The best is yet to come.

For years, the assumption baked into every AI hardware model was simple: China can slow down, but it cannot train frontier models without Nvidia. Export controls were a leash.
DeepSeek is now building the run that tests whether the leash is real. And it is not alone. The Chinese domestic stack is arriving as an ecosystem in the same delivery window:
• Huawei Ascend 950DT deliveries: Q4 2026 to Q1 2027. Ascend 960DT reportedly on track for early Q1 2027. (Crypto Briefing.)
• Alibaba's T-Head Zhenwu V900: 3x the M890, 216GB of memory, 1,200GB/s inter chip bandwidth, native FP8 and FP4, clusters that scale to 500,000 accelerators. Mass production Q1 2027. Alibaba restated 20GW of cloud capacity by 2032 and $53B of AI infrastructure spend over 3 years.
Meanwhile the Nvidia side of the story has already ended. Nvidia's August filing showed H200 shipments to China were under 1% of data center revenue in the quarter ended July 26, only a fraction of licensed amounts moved, and the company took a $400M charge in the first half on excess H200 inventory.
Citi estimated the H200 sales at no more than $890M. Nvidia guided zero China data center revenue for the current quarter.

In 2016, even Zooko, Zcash’s founder said he was happy about Zclassic.
One chain funded the future with a founders’ reward.
The other stayed pure no premine, no tax, just miners.
Two philosophies, same roots.

So, y'all are feeding zcash:native founders with 20% fees, while we have a zclassic:native fork from 2016 that eliminates fees and gives 100% to miners, it is fair launch and removed all the bugs ZEC have problem with.
I think repricing will happen, and now at 15M market cap it is bargain.
Project is active for 10 years, and many ZEC og are supporting it now.
Here is the thesis of one ZEC whale for ZCL: zclthesis.com/
For me, it is clear that zcash:native can't work like this. Taking 20% tax and founder rewards makes no sense.
But, there is zclassic:native, fork from 2017 that went to 800m then. It is now on just 8M mc, and it removed tax + is 100% organic. ZEC is at 20BN. 100x would be only 800m for ZCL.
I expect LBank or some other CEX to list it soon and this will be easiest bet now.
I was talking about it first time in January at $0.24 price first time. Today price is $0.8, and volume is getting crazy.
You are still early, with ATH $250.

zclassic:native doesn’t need a listing to go global.
Trustless bridges to Ethereum and Solana are in the works so Zclassic can move without centralized exchanges.
Builders joining forces.
Nothing beats builders joining forces.

🧪 ZClassic was the privacy fork asking whether Zcash’s tech could stand on its own—and 2017 investors were already hunting the next asymmetric bet. Episode #289 revisits the thesis. Watch, like & subscribe. (Air date: 28/02/2017) youtu.be/v9InH8pXwW8
