It used Manim (github.com/manimCommunity/ma…), a game physics engine called 'box3d' (github.com/erincatto/box3d), and Kokoro (huggingface.co/hexgrad/Kokor…) for voiceover.

Really impressed with how well it did working on such a complex subject. The whole thing started from me experimenting in box3d with claude.

First, I had it setup a feedback channel for itself so that it could work in the engine autonomously without me needing to help it gather information or direct it. It seemed to put together a good pipeline quite quickly. The sample for it to work on was pretty simple, a fun claude model is what I asked it to work on. It made an exploding claude spark icon in 3d.

Next I had it work on an illustrative method for teaching holonomy. Some folks were discussing it in the discord for box2d/box3d so I figured why not use the engine itself to explain the concept. I asked claude to create a video that illustrated my points. youtu.be/MQ_C9ReiRgM

Then finally I let it loose on my albert-algebra runtime and asked it to model some of the experiments I've run in it over the last few months. I wanted to visibly see some of the engine operations.

It modeled 9 examples for me, but it was hard to really grasp what it was showing because modeling a 27 dimensional algebra isn't really the most intuitive picture. So I asked Claude to create a video on the positive cone from the engine examples it modeled, something that students would be able to learn and understand. It asked me what kind of students and I recommended upper-level undergraduates.

I didn't expect the voiceover or the manim work. It does help that I have a skill for manim so it must have gotten called when I asked it to create a math lesson because I have used manim for that before, months ago.

I was really surprised with the voiceover work it did. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did. I feel like for a moment I've glimpsed into the future of teaching.. or perhaps self-learning depending on whether or not we will continue to need teachers to create lessons for students. Maybe in this future students have lessons generated for them depending on what they're interested in learning. Teachers help guide students on prompting, getting more from the technology, teaching how to learn rather than teaching a subject for an exam.
