The Pouch app's first main use case was processing payments on bitcoin island, Boracay. Then, it naturally became a tool for borderless payments and stacking sats. As previously announced via email, our app is rebranding to isle.ph, as a nod to where it all started with the bitcoin island project! This rebrand effort will take some time to fully transition over, but please note that our social media accounts will be updated soon to reflect the change.

10% of the Philippines GDP comes from Remittances. Supposing the Strategic Reserve mandate passes, and the BSP (central bank) must acquire 10,000 bitcoin, theoretically they could provide a BTC=>PHP facility for OFW remitters at market rate. Both sides would get massive liquidity at 0% spreads/fees.
