Expanded mobility options that provide safe connections to the rest of the network is how we get a critical mass of modal shifting!
These continued expansions are incredibly welcome. Looking forward to even more in the future!

All John Sherman needs to do is be a Kansas Citian he is. Go meet folks, listen to them - even if they don't like your plan. Actually find what works for everyone and the people will respect that you're on the ground, having the conversation. That's a yes vote.

Old yt lady throws a fit that Kansas Citians didn't rubber stamp a terribly rolled out plan that was being changed the day before the vote.
Marny Sherman can take a flying fuck. Or more than one. I'm naught but flexible. kmbc.com/article/wife-of-kan…
OK, real talk. I propose that a stadium tax would be better spent by letting the Chiefs move to Kansas, renovating Arrowhead, and paying Taylor Swift to hold a sole concert residency in Kansas City.
.@QuintonLucasKC since we have everyone's attention, let's give those YES voters a chance to put their money where their mouth is "for the future of our city." How about a vote to extend the 3/8c tax & use funds for schools, infrastructure & small biz. And potholes. @KCTenants

This is what Michael Savwoir, 1 of the union leaders for KC Tenants, told @fox4kc: “Two billion dollars in taxpayers money, man, could do a hell of a lot to develop our community. The billionaires don’t finance my follies. Why should I finance theirs?"

The story isn't that the Royals ballpark vote lost, it's that it was crushed. The 16-point gap is too big to be explained by poor messaging, the Chiefs' weird and pointless stadium remodel, or even Frank White. The vote lost because no one knew exactly what they were voting for.

The people of Kansas City and Jackson County love the Chiefs and the Royals. Today, they rejected plans and processes they found inadequate.

Enough with this lazy narrative. The long-term futures of the Royals and Chiefs are not "very much in question" because of this vote. The real story is that voters rightly rejected a terrible subsidy demand from billionaire owners who had no right to ask.
Voters in Jackson County have rejected the public funding proposal for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals’ stadium projects.
The decision leaves the long-term future of both teams in the jurisdiction very much in question.

.@kcstreetcar I walked from the North Loop stop to Crossroads, then back again four hours later, tonight. Both times I made the entire distance without being passed by a streetcar. How is that possible? It’s embarrassing.

K-State posted the largest-ever shutout win by a lower-ranked team over an AP top-10 team.
Largest ever.

Kansas is one of the last states that hasn't legalized medical marijuana, and Kansans with severe illnesses are suffering. This is unacceptable. It's time we pass it once and for all.

Folks, gas prices are now back to levels they were at in early March.
That means nearly all of the increases since the beginning of Russia’s war in Ukraine have been wiped out.
