The ocarina of time remake is really special for me because my amnesia wiped most of the game past the first several hours. I’ve played the opening many times since but never fully replayed the game since my teens, so it’s like I really am experiencing OoT for the first time

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Haley Stevens’s defection from the Democratic vote isn’t a story about party intrigue, writes Ta-Nehesi Coates, but one about “violent, chauvinist power.”

Patrick Stewart, who died last week at the age of 86, was a committed socialist from the start.
That conviction ran through his greatest role: Jean-Luc Picard, a leader who used reason and compassion rather than force. jacobin.com/2026/11/patrick-…

Breaking my own rule and writing a Twitter essay...
Two days before the midterms, Haley Stevens, the beneficiary of AIPAC’s record-setting $30 million in her primary, appeared with Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers at Perfecting Church in Detroit where she claimed that Rogers would “take on” investing in Black-owned businesses. She then endorsed him.
This attempted ratfuck is galling for any number of reasons, but what disgusts me most is the willingness of these genocidal white politicians to use Black voters as human shields for their racism against Abdul El-Sayed. Rogers has run one of the most racist Senate campaigns this century, and yet, Stevens is now climbing aboard while ostensibly professing concern for Black voters.
This is an instructive moment in understanding why Zionists must be purged from the party: as believers in a supremacist project themselves, they view Black voters as a faction to be weaponized, not as constituents who deserve genuine representation. They are saboteurs in the broader fight for racial justice. A belief in an ethnostate sustained through apartheid, force, genocide, and domination is fundamentally incompatible with an anti-fascist, anti-racist coalition.
Good luck browbeating the Democratic electorate into supporting some pro-Israel corporate centrist in the 2028 presidential election after this saga.

These clips of TNG that are circulating remind me of what a comforting, hopeful vision that show was. Just the background omnipresent rumble of the warp drive and well-spoken professionals figuring out impossible problems in the future.
So much brighter than our actual lives.
John Mulaney says Michael Jackson wasn’t the only person who grew up without a childhood, because nobody born before 1910 had one perhaps not unique
John: “People always go, ‘Oh, poor Michael Jackson, he had no childhood.’ But you know who else didn’t? Anyone born before 1910.”
“And they didn’t marry children with a giraffe as a witness.”
Conan: “We now know why John was not asked to give the eulogy at Michael Jackson’s funeral.”
John: “I had a nice version. I was perfectly willing to call an audible and switch it on the fly.”

JD Vance's in-laws' names are Radhakrishna Chilukuri and Lakshmi Chilukuri. I wonder if he tells them this stuff, too. To their faces. Or does he just save it for white MAGA rallies?
Truly a racist pathetic embarrassment of a son-in-law to his brown Indian immigrant in-laws.

RFK Jr.'s a disgusting racist. We all know that.
But as Anti-Arab and Islamophobic hate rises, and as this vile rhetoric puts people in danger, we must all speak out louder than the hate. We will not let these fascists win.
US Secretary of Health Robert F Kennedy Jr. has said that Arabs don’t produce science or literature, or win Nobel prizes.
RFK Jr.’s remarks, which were made during a Republican rally, have been widely condemned as factually incorrect and racially biased.
