कानपुर में गंगा नदी में सीसामऊ नाले से सीवेज प्रवाह को लेकर सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफार्म X पर दिनांक 11/01/2026 को प्रसारित दावा भ्रामक है, प्राप्त शिकायत के बाद तत्काल दिनांक 12/01/2026 को स्थलीय निरीक्षण कराया गया जिसमें यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि वायरल की गई तस्वीरें वर्ष 2019 एवं अन्य स्थानों की हैं। वर्तमान में सीसामऊ नाला पूर्णतः टैप (Fully Tapped) है एवं किसी भी प्रकार का ओवरफ्लो नहीं हो रहा है जिसका छायाचित्र सलग्न है। वर्तमान में गंगा नदी में अनुपचारित सीवेज के प्रवाह को पूर्णतः रोका गया है।
जनहित में नागरिकों से अपील है कि भ्रामक या अप्रमाणित सूचनाओं पर विश्वास न करें।

इस संबंध में आज सिसामऊ नाले का निरीक्षण एवं सत्यापन किया गया, जिसमें यह तथ्य सामने आया है कि वर्तमान में सिसामऊ नाले से किसी भी प्रकार का ओवरफ़्लो नहीं हो रहा है।
प्रथम दृष्टया यह भी प्रतीत होता है कि पोस्ट में प्रयुक्त फोटो वर्तमान स्थिति से संबंधित नहीं है, बल्कि पुरानी है। वर्तमान समय में नाले की स्थिति सामान्य है और गंगा में किसी प्रकार का अनियंत्रित प्रवाह नहीं पाया गया है। इस पोस्ट में हम आज कि वीडियो/फोटो संलग्न कर रहे हैं ताकि कोई भ्रम ना रहे।

A sensitisation workshop on the World Bank’s B Ready Survey was conducted by REC for key stakeholders in Chennai today.
Dr. J Radhakrishnan, IAS, Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, inaugurated the workshop and delivered the keynote address.
Directors from DISCOM, professors from IIT Madras, and senior officials from REC were among the key speakers at the event.
The workshop also saw active participation from commercial and industrial consumers.

REC Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to provide financial support of ₹1 lakh crore for infrastructure development in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
The agreement was formally signed by Shri. Harsh Baweja, Director (Finance), REC Limited and Dr. Ankush R Nawale, Financial Advisor MMRDA, at the India Global Forum (IGF) Mumbai NXT 25 event at the Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai, in the presence of Maharashtra's Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis; Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Eknath Shinde; Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA; Shri Vikram Kumar, IAS, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA; Shri Rahul Dwivedi, IAS, Executive Director, REC and senior officials of REC and MMRDA.

REC Limited has signed MoU with Govt of Rajasthan, Department of Finance during the "Rising Rajasthan Investors meet" today. As per MoU, REC will provide Rs. 50,000 Crore annually (increased from Rs. 20,000 Crore) to finance projects across power and non power infrastructure for a period of six years upto 2030 i.e. total value of MoU is Rs. 3.00 Lac Crore.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister, Govt of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma; Col Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister for Industries & commerce, GoR; Sri Sudhansh Pant, Chief Secretary, GoR.
