As a Ukrainian, I personally am very happy about the renewal of strikes on Russian oil refineries. Russia is bombing us anyway, killing our kids on the streets, striking our energy grid, killing families in their homes, so if stopping changes nothing, why should we? Because Trump says it would help him broker a deal? A corrupt enrichment deal - yes, definitely. A peace deal - no. Because he will stop sharing intelligence? Then more of us will die, but at least we'd die resisting. And not succumb to blatant blackmail.... of the victim! When its Russia who is the aggressor, and who should be blackmailed and pressured into stopping strikes.

America will NEVER FORGET the spectacularly brain-dead Steve Witkoff calling mass murderer and child killer Putin a “humanitarian.” He can go fuck all the way off.

BREAKING: THANK YOU! Senator Mark Kelly shreds Trump's spineless envoy Steve Witkoff for praising Putin as a "humanitarian" in a disgusting string of remarks. We agree with every word Kelly said... "In what world is Putin a 'humanitarian?' He's assassinated political rivals and journalists, bombed hospitals, and started a war that has intentionally killed tens of thousands of innocent people, including women and children," he wrote on X. "He's a war criminal." Witkoff ignited this scandal while talking to Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg— “You talk so much about my President, President Trump, being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that," he said. "I commend you and I thank you again." Of course, Trump is no more of a humanitarian than the psychopathic Putin. Whereas the latter has caused mass suffering and death by invading Ukraine in an egomaniacal drive to reconstitute the Soviet Union or even the Russian Empire, Trump has slaughtered women and children in Iran while brutalizing migrant families at home. Both men are monsters and thankfully Kelly isn't the only one speaking out against Witkoff's vile praise. "Putin is a killer and a thug, murdering Ukrainian children, dropping bombs on neighborhoods, and tearing families apart," Senator Chris Coons wrote on X. "Calling him a humanitarian is like calling Witkoff qualified or capable of doing this job. What are we doing here?" "Witkoff’s pathetic fawning over this KGB thug betrays American values & security," wrote Senator Richard Blumenthal. "He should cite Putin’s humanitarian greatness to the prisoners he’s tortured & killed, the children he’s kidnapped, the Ukrainians whose country he’s bombing w/ bloodlust." "Also, American troops who are readier targets for Iran attacks because Putin is giving our enemies intelligence & technology," he added. "Calling the war criminal Vladimir Putin a 'humanitarian' is a disgrace to the tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians that Putin has killed as part of his brutal war," wrote Senator Dick Durbin. "Putin bears the sole responsibility for Russia’s full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine. Because of him, tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians are dead or injured, including children," posted Senator Ruben Gallego. "The only thing Steve Witkoff should be calling Putin is a war criminal and an enemy of the United States." At this point, we shouldn't be surprised that Trump officials are obsessed with Putin. The President himself wishes that he could be a full-blown dictator like his Kremlin counterpart, but thankfully our Constitution has kept these ravening fascists in check. Once we finally eject these cretins from the White House, Democrats will have their work cut out for them repairing the damage. Thankfully, we have leaders like Mark Kelly who are ready to rise to the occasion. Please ❤️ and share to demand that Democrats investigate Witkoff to see if he's being paid for this pro-Putin propaganda!

When a country is fighting for its existence (defeat would result in mass incarceration & genocide), @Telegraph publishing an article like this is highly irresponsible clickbait. But not surprising for a paper that does this regularly …. Sadly reminiscent of media in general. 👎

So true!! Totally agree with Piers!! @ZelenskyyUa and the Ukrainian people are heroes and millions of freedom loving Europeans and Americans support them. Evil flourishes if good people do nothing - I hope and pray that good prevails as I know it will 🙏🙏
The honour was mine, Mr President. As I told you when we first met in Kyiv four months into the war, you’re a modern-day Churchill fighting for freedom and democracy against an evil dictator. The free world must help you win. 👊👊

Ukraine is asking the EU for 70 billion euros to continue fighting in 2027. That is 0.4% of the EU GDP or 155 euros per European. Not having a battle-hardened victorious Russian army on Europe's border is worth roughly 2000% of the EU GDP. Our leaders must find the money.

THUS SPEAKS A PRESIDENT 🇺🇦 “I made a mistake in believing Donald Trump’s promises. He assured the world that he would help Ukraine and put an end to this war if he returned to the White House. Yet, more than a year into his presidency, Ukraine is still fighting for its survival. Instead of standing firmly by the side of a country defending itself against an invasion, Trump has taken positions that raise serious questions about America’s commitment to Ukraine. His approach has left many Ukrainians wondering whether the promises made to us would ever be kept. Everyone understands that prices are rising because of the war in the Middle East—due to the conflict there and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Everyone understands this. If we wish to communicate honestly with people, if we want to be clear, if we want to speak openly with our citizens, then people deserve to hear the truth. There is no need to play games with people. But let me make one thing clear: Ukraine is a sovereign nation, not a piece of property belonging to the United States. Donald Trump cannot simply decide who governs our country or dictate our future. Behind this war lie millions of Ukrainians who have lost loved ones—children who have grown up to the sound of explosions, families forced to flee their homes, and soldiers who have sacrificed everything to defend our homeland. Their suffering cannot be erased by a political deal, and their sacrifices cannot be bartered away for someone else’s interests. We will continue to fight for our independence, our freedom, and the right of the Ukrainian people to determine their own destiny. I still believe there are Americans who understand our struggle and stand by our side.” Ukraine has endured too much to surrender its future now. We will not abandon our people, we will not forget our fallen heroes, and we will not allow external pressures to decide the fate of our nation. Putin and Russia will pay. OUR FUTURE BELONGS TO THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE — NOT TO DONALD TRUMP, NOT TO PUTIN, AND NOT TO ANY FOREIGN POWER. Onward, Armed Forces; Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Alice Weidel is saying that Zelenskyy “is not interested in peace,” and that in order to have peace in Ukraine, “we need to take Russia’s security interests into account.” She is a straight-out Russian asset. Note how Alice recoils and refuses to acknowledge that Russia rejects making peace when cornered by the host. Instead, she pivots straight to money talks, still refusing to admit that what she’s actually proposing is pushing Ukraine to surrender, leaving Ukrainians to be murdered under Russian occupation. As for Russia’s security concerns, it’s pure comedy. They were quite secure before they decided to invade Ukraine. So Russians are secure, except when they go outside of their borders. Please do not vote for this vile creature. She won’t just sell us out to Putin, she will sell out Germany, too.

🚨 Arsène Wenger on the advantages PSG hold over other teams in the Champions League: 🗣️ Arsène Wenger: “There is a structural problem here that people do not want to discuss properly. PSG can postpone Ligue 1 matches when it suits them. They can move a domestic fixture to protect their players for the Champions League, arrive fully fit, fully prepared, and then play a team that has just come through a full Premier League weekend with no such option. “That is not squad management. That is a competitive advantage the other clubs do not have. In England, in Spain, in Germany, the league schedule is fixed. You play when you are told. You cannot ring the league and ask them to move the game because you have a Champions League match four days later. PSG can. And they use it. “Add to that the level of the domestic competition. When the gap between first and the rest is so large, you can rest half your team, protect key players from fatigue and injury, and still win the league comfortably. The others cannot do the same. They have to play their best players every week just to stay in the race. Then they meet PSG in Europe and the French side have fresher legs, fewer minutes in their legs, and a better recovery window. “I managed in the Premier League for many years. I know what it costs to compete on both fronts with no flexibility in the calendar. The physical and mental load is different. When one club can choose when it plays its league games and the others cannot, the Champions League is no longer being contested on equal terms. “People will say every big club rotates. That is true. But rotation is one thing. The ability to postpone a league match so your entire squad is fresh for Europe is another. That is an advantage the rules of the competition allow, and it is an advantage that makes the path easier for one team than for the others. If we want a fair Champions League, these differences have to be addressed. Otherwise we are simply watching some teams play under different conditions than the rest.”

The atrocities committed during Putin’s invasion are documented. Children, for fuck’s sake. I am angry beyond belief, yet nothing from Trump about Russia stealing children or bombing hospitals. He is unfit to be President.
Trump: "I watched an interview of a young woman the other day from Ukraine. And she said, 'President Zelenskyy has destroyed our country. President Zelenskyy has taken our men away from us. Our men have no legs, no arms. Our men in many cases in mental institutions or they're dead.'"

Imagine 1941, when German aircraft were bombing British cities, Europe was under the Nazi boot, and Churchill was desperately trying to save his country from Hitler's onslaught. And then, at that very moment, US President Franklin Roosevelt suddenly announces that the main problem is not Hitler, who is occupying foreign territories and killing people, but the stubborn British, who simply refuse to agree to a peace deal. Worse still, they keep bombing German industrial facilities, damaging the economy of the Third Reich and creating difficulties for international trade. The American president is terribly outraged. After all, his voters need cheap fuel, the economy needs stability, and he himself needs good approval ratings. So instead of helping Britain, he calls Hitler, negotiates the supply of German goods, proposes easing economic restrictions, and threatens to cut Churchill off from weapons and intelligence unless he stops destroying German industry. And to finally persuade the Führer to come to the negotiating table, American mediators even propose returning some of Germany's frozen state assets. All in the name of peace, naturally. And, of course, for the sake of the American economy, which should not have to suffer simply because some stubborn British people refuse to surrender. Now try to imagine what history textbooks would look like if Roosevelt had actually behaved this way. What if he had called Hitler a wonderful negotiating partner, demanded that Churchill surrender territory, and simultaneously tried to convince Americans that Germany needed to be allowed to make money because otherwise it would refuse to make peace? What if, instead of Lend-Lease, Britain had received an American ultimatum: stop bombing German factories because we need to lower prices before the elections? What would we say about such a president today? Would we call him a brilliant negotiator who was simply protecting his country's economic interests? Or would we say that, for his own benefit, he was helping the Nazi war machine while simultaneously depriving its intended victims of the means to defend themselves? Fortunately, history took a different path. Roosevelt secured the passage of the Lend-Lease Act, and the United States began providing massive assistance to the countries resisting Hitler even before America formally entered World War II. But today, watching Donald Trump's actions, I increasingly find myself wondering what Europe's fate would have been if a politician with the same attitude toward aggression, human lives, and personal profit had occupied the White House back then.

Tenemos esperanza

So it’s official: Reuters has confirmed that the White House gave the order to disrupt Starlink so Russia could attack Kyiv with no advanced warning. The US aided and abetted Putin’s killing of numerous civilians in Ukraine. Trump’s a traitor, a Russian asset who is using US military technology to help our enemy.

This is Chris Manson, an ordinary American who has done something extraordinary for Ukraine. Chris is not a billionaire. He is not a politician. He is not a celebrity. He is a former firefighter who works in healthcare. In 2022, his 7-year-old daughter Lily asked him a simple question: “Daddy, can we do something to help Ukraine?” He could have told her that Ukraine was thousands of miles away. That there was little they could do. That it was someone else’s problem. Instead, he decided to act. In March 2022, Chris founded US Ambulances for Ukraine. On March 29, the first ambulance was on its way to Ukraine. What started with one ambulance became something extraordinary. 125 ambulances, fire trucks, and rescue vehicles have now been sent to Ukraine. These vehicles are saving lives. They are helping Ukrainian soldiers, doctors, firefighters, and rescue workers. They are evacuating the wounded and bringing help to people whose lives have been shattered by russia’s war. One little girl asked her father a question. And because he decided to act, countless Ukrainians have received help when they needed it most. Chris has no intention of stopping. He plans to continue helping Ukraine for as long as necessary. There are people who have billions of dollars, enormous political power, and millions of followers. And then there are people like Chris Manson, who simply see suffering and decide to do something about it. You don’t need to be rich or powerful to make a difference. You just need to care enough to act. Thank you, Chris Manson. Thank you for showing what true American generosity looks like. Ukraine will never forget your kindness.
