I really appreciate that spotify autoplayed the one The Fall song where he says the n-word while I was on aux at work, that was something that needed to happen

‘There’s a lot of great music out there - you just have to look for it.’ This is only ever said by 58 year old men in Gorillaz t-shirts isn’t it? You never hear a young person saying it. It’s the most fogeyish statement there is, and a bit Norman Tebbit.

If franz ferdinand didn’t want to be assassinated he shouldn’t have made a song called “take me out”

Uber. Driver tried to drop me at the other end of my road. 'It's just up there, mate'. 'But then I'd have to reverse.' Then reverse. I'm not being a diva and I didn't pull the Disability Card, but me 'walking' up the street in this weather is a bit different to you reversing.

Yes, in fact, I do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That’s kind of the whole point of having a job and I can’t believe this is considered a radical position for me to take.

True fact, Once And Never Again by The Long Blondes was written about this actual scene. 🖤🤍
Anna May Wong brings fierce intensity to "Shanghai Express" (1932), shining alongside Marlene Dietrich. A remarkable star who deserved far more than Hollywood ever gave her.

Something Else by The Kinks might be the most underrated album of the 60s

Drama about the deep and quiet pain of everyday life used to be everywhere on television. Not so much now. I miss it.
Some fine acting from Jean Alexander & Bernard Youens in Coronation Street (1976)

#LAMFriday Less than 5 years separates these 2 pictures - from the NY Dolls debut album back sleeve snapped by Toshi to the Post Dolls photo reunion organized by lens-woman Roberta Bayley yet each band member appears to have lived several life-times in between.

Cherry Coloured Funk by Cocteau Twins playing on 6Music, skipping all over the shop, but it's the Cocteaus, so you can't really tell. #Trippy ❤❤❤

More Oliver Reed! Check him out dancing up a storm in one of my favourite UK cult movies, Edmond T. Gréville’s BEAT GIRL (1960): a wonderfully lurid trip through the beatnik coffee bars and strip clubs of Soho. Set to John Barry’s fantastic score (his first), this scene sees Gillian Hills’ teen temptress heading down to a Soho basement and frugging away with Ollie Reed in the checked shirt. Enjoy.
