Europe must stand with the Iranian people.
Supporting their fight for freedom is not only our moral responsibility; it is also in our shared interest.
Sanctions against Iran’s regime are not enough. Europe must take further action against those persecuting the Iranian people and against the regime’s proxies.
To the Iranian people: you are not alone. Justice, life and freedom will come for Iranian women and for all Iranians.
That was the message of EPP Group Vice-Chair @fxbellamy as he welcomed Iranian opposition leader @PahlaviReza to the European Parliament. He also welcomed Danial Eyvazi, a survivor of the January 2026 massacre, alongside Sara Sadeghi Mohseni and Arsalan Khoubi-Pour, whose brothers were killed by the regime’s security forces.

More attributable to Persian people and their pre-Islamic traditions. Core figures—al-Khwarizmi, al-Razi, Ibn Sina, al-Biruni, Omar Khayyam, Nasir al-Tusi—were Persian. Abbasids actively absorbed Persian administration, knowledge, and talent after the conquest. Islam supplied the unifying empire, Arabic lingua franca, and caliphal patronage that enabled the synthesis of Greek, Indian, and Persian learning, but the scientific output itself was disproportionately Persian.

That was for everyone who wanted to say that to Trita Parsi over the many years he has been undermining US foreign policy towards Iran.

BREAKING: Saudi Arabia Executes Bangladeshi Newlyweds Over Forehead Kiss in Mecca Mosque
Two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, have reportedly been executed in Saudi Arabia following their conviction over an alleged immoral act inside a mosque in Mecca.
Reports circulating in Bangladesh claim the incident involved a kiss on the forehead between the newlyweds, who had travelled to Mecca for their honeymoon. The gesture was reportedly an expression of gratitude to Allah for their marriage.
Their bodies have reportedly been returned to Bangladesh in two coffins for burial.
