J. Cole was right when he said childhood ends when you rewatch 2000s movies as an adult.
The Incredibles wasn't about Syndrome. It was about Bob Parr hiding his depression from his wife while Helen searched his clothes for evidence
There was 2:02 left in the game when Notre Dame got the first down. They could’ve called a timeout there only having 2 left. Then used the 2 min warning as their third t.o. They didn’t. Left with 50 secs left instead of 1:30. I play madden and know this. How does the coach not?

Could’ve stopped this sentence after coach and it still would be true.
Doc Rivers tells Bill Simmons it was so hard for him to coach Giannis Antetokounmpo during his tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks:
“He’s not easy. He plays at this crazy downhill pace. He’s really a difficult guy. He has this great passing ability, but he doesn’t have a super-high IQ at the same time. He really has only one way of playing. Every play, he wants to force it. I wish he’d learned how to execute better.
“The thing he still needs to learn is the value of execution how important it is, when you’re in practice and at shoot around, to lock in on execution. Now he has a coach who’s as good as there is at execution.”

I was wrong about him coming outta HS. Didn’t see his IQ for what it is now because he looked like a shot chucker. He still is but man does he know ball. It’s like Lonzo with a scoring mentality. Which makes all the sense in the world.

Snoop Dogg explained in 80 seconds why men stopped approaching women.
Do men not shoot their shot anymore because social media turned dating into a simulation?
Snoop says yes, and his reason is better than the usual “phones ruined everything” take.
In his era, getting with someone took real effort. You had to look at her, talk to her, get her to like you, and know her parents and how she moved. You had to get involved before you could get involved.
Now it’s a couple of pictures and a couple of lines, and people expect something real from a few typed words.
The part I found most interesting is his point about texting. A text gives you what he’s typing, not what he’s saying. “You look good today” can read as sweet or creepy depending on the mood of the person reading it. Text has no tone, face or feeling to go with it.
Approaching someone in person is hard on purpose. It makes you learn to read people, handle a no, and become someone worth talking to. When you skip that, you also skip what it would have taught you.
What he calls the cheat code ended up costing men the skill.
