Here's a useful "Did Republicans do a Dummy-mander?" cheat sheet for next Tuesday. If Democrats win any of these seats: -NC-03 -FL-12 -FL-16 -FL-26 -TN-05 AND TN-09 then you can call it a dummymander. Otherwise, Republicans will still have done themselves essentially no harm.
I warned that “gerrymandering didn’t work” would be one of the post-election takes if the GOP lost — but they are clearly going to win seats bc they gerrymandered. No gerrymander and Dems probably net House seats in Texas. Now, they could elect a Senator, get 50% of the statewide vote, take back the RGV… and on net lose one seat, giving Rs a 26-12 advantage in the delegation.

Plus the maps will probably help them win even more seats if and when the environment isn't so Dem-friendly in 2028 and 2030.

So yesterday Trump said he wasn't going to Kansas because it was in such good shape that he shouldn't waste his time on it. but now he is going to Kansas and so we must infer it is in not good shape, right?
News: President Trump will now hold rallies in Iowa and Kansas this Sunday.

Kudos to the Post for publishing this poll even though it's an outlier, and also providing significant additional context on the methodological challenges the pollsters faced. If every poll writeup did this we'd all be smarter and saner! washingtonpost.com/politics/…

I'm not going to post the video of Trump's attack on @jacobbogage here. But I will say: Bogage is a former colleague, terrific journalist and wonderful human. He asked a direct, reasonable question that Trump simply couldn't handle.

I appreciate the positive attention from new corners of the political Twitterverse. But if you’re a Democrat who opposes these actions by Republicans but supports any of them from your own party, you also missed the point of the article.

There is something incredibly interesting happening right now in Democratic politics and it’s how men connect masculinity to fatherhood. It cuts through our politics’ harshness and the idea that masculinity is all bulging biceps. I wrote about that here: washingtonpost.com/politics/…

An emotional, cruel outburst over a question he didn’t seem to hear correctly
Q: "You not going to Kansas has nothing to do with you being sick of travel?" President Trump: "You're sick to ask that question. You are sick...I don't feel I have to go to Kansas...I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell!"

SCOOP: Blanche personally charged small-fry Nevada ‘voter fraud’ cases All four of the cases were misdemeanors—signed off on by the AG of the United States. That's highly unusual, and an ex-prosecutor who served alongside him in SDNY told me it raises "huge red flags." First reported by All Rise News buff.ly/zGp4IfH

Many such cases.
Trump, 2017: “I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump - TOTALLY UNTRUE.” Trump, 2026: "The White House was in very bad condition, both inside and out. Frankly, it was a 'dump!'"

Parnell's statement today includes a line that is awfully similar to what the Pentagon IG (an independent watchdog) concluded about Hegseth's role in SignalGate: cnn.com/2025/12/03/politics/…
Replying to @ZcohenCNN
Pentagon spox Sean Parnell issues an on-record statement that does not mention Lt. Gen. Sylvia by name but does use some familiar language about the risks associated with disclosures of classified material.

Every Dem is using a sophisticated model called “PTSD” that subtracts 5 points from every red state Dem and 10 for Maine and South Carolina
This has turned into kind of a weird election. And this is just based on social media, not any reporting. But based on vibes from Republicans, you'd expect Democrats to end up with 55 Senate seats. But based on the vibes from Democrats, you'd expect 50.500001.
