Elon Musk explains why charging your EV to 100% on a road trip is a mistake: On a road trip, your instinct is to fill the battery all the way up. That's how you'd treat a gas tank. But a battery doesn't work like a gas tank. Charge to about 80%. Drive it down to 10% or less. Repeat. This is just for long trips, when you want to spend as little time at the charger as possible. Elon: "Getting from 80 to 100, it takes about as much time as getting from 0 to 80." The reason is what's happening inside the battery. Lithium ions travel from one side to the other, looking for a place to settle. Think of them as cars hunting for a parking spot. When the lot is empty, they zip right in. As it fills up, they have to circle around, like at a packed mall. So the closer the battery gets to full, the slower it charges. The last few spots take the longest to find.

Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. Itโ€™s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Apart from the launches where OpenAI is catching up to other companies, the most valuable DevDay news is actually this: the ChatGPT Plus / Pro plan you already pay for can now The way in is the new "Sign in with ChatGPT" button in these apps. It looks a lot like "Sign in with Google," except you get ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ ๐˜€๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฐ๐—ต when you sign in. Turn it on and the AI in that app runs on your ChatGPT usage. Count them up and that's one subscription you can spend in over a dozen tools. The open-source OpenClaw, OpenCode, Pi and T3 Code all work too. Just sign in with ChatGPT. Apps that can use your plan today: Amp Code, Conductor, Dactyl, Devin, Hermes Agent, Hyperagent, Kilo Code, Notion, Vercel, Vorflux, Warp. Lovable is coming soon. Airtable, Canva, GitLab, HubSpot and Supabase only support sign-in. They can't use your plan. Before you connect one: โ†’ It draws from the ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜…. Connecting more apps doesn't add any, and some apps charge their own fees. โ†’ In ChatGPT Settings > Usage > App limits, you can give each app a weekly cap as a percentage of your total, so one tool can't burn through your week of Codex. โ†’ Apps can't access your ChatGPT chats or memories. My guess is a lot of AI tools will end up running on your ChatGPT subscription, and the people building them won't have to front the model bill.
You can now use your ChatGPT subscription directly in over 16 partners products. No little rules, you can just use all your included usage right there. This includes things such as Devin, OpenCode, Notion, and many more. Sign in with ChatGPT and go.

Jev might genuinely be an โ€œInternet momentโ€ for AI. TypeSafe reports up to 193x faster and 444x cheaper performance in tests with Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra. @0xCodila just wrote a great 10-page article explaining what Jev is, how to use it, and where its 100x advantage comes from. Here are the 10 steps: 1 โ†’ LLMs create. Agents act. Jev decides the next move. 2 โ†’ Turn agent forks into three primitives: Choice, Score and probability. 3 โ†’ Build with OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI first, then swap Jev in without rebuilding the graph. 4 โ†’ Start with shared state, parallel decisions, risk thresholds and an execution queue. 5 โ†’ Batch decisions instead of making them sequentially. In one test, 13 questions were 10x faster and 12.2x cheaper. 6 โ†’ Put Jev at bounded forks: agent, model, tool, browser action or human escalation. 7 โ†’ Benchmark the whole loop, not just individual model calls. 8 โ†’ Rank wide, read narrow: shortlist first, then spend compute on what matters. 9 โ†’ Reuse the same system: State โ†’ Questions โ†’ Action โ†’ Verify. 10 โ†’ Keep Jev out of math, writing and irreversible execution. Code computes, LLMs create, Jev decides. The result: A slow, expensive agent loop becomes a much faster decision system that can route, score and escalate in milliseconds. Full breakdown below โ†“
Jev is the "Internet" moment for the AI industry It tells your agents and LLMs what to do next, in milliseconds and at almost zero cost If you set it up correctly, you will have the AI engineerโ€™s stack for 2028 In this article, I show you how

Garry Tan on YC, First Principles Thinking, and Progress in the Age of AI Silicon Valley's advantage is that it gives weird, ambitious outsiders permission to try, find one another, and become insiders through building. SpaceXAI team just dropped a 3-page operatorโ€™s manual for turning Grok Bot into a full multi-agent system that runs entire workflows 24/7 The shift: instead of prompting one Bot task by task, you build a Chief + specialist teams that own entire workflows hereโ€™s the 7-step Grok Bot playbook: step 1 - mental model โ†’ one persistent cloud computer, multiple Bot screens, shared files, browser sessions, credentials and /workspace underneath step 2 - setup order โ†’ create the Chief first - it doesnโ€™t do the work, it routes โ†’ delegates โ†’ watches handoffs โ†’ collects outputs โ†’ escalates step 3 - internal bus โ†’ stop passing important context through chat - research, drafts, evidence, decisions and handoffs live inside /workspace so every Bot can continue exactly where another stopped step 4 - specialist teams โ†’ split content, intelligence, ops, research and coding across different Bots while one Chief coordinates everything step 5 - automation โ†’ every serious workflow gets 3 gates: source gate โ†’ evidence gate โ†’ action gate - Bots keep working until something actually needs human approval step 6 - trust layer โ†’ let Bots research, draft, summarize, reconcile, verify and queue autonomously - humans approve only money, publishing, deletion, signatures and irreversible external actions step 7 - expensive lessons โ†’ constant polling burns quota, syncing everything wastes usage, bad retries duplicate actions, undocumented internals break, and too many Bots can actually make the system slower the result: Grok Bot stops being a chatbot and becomes a 24/7 AI team - every workflow has an owner, every handoff leaves evidence, and humans only step in when judgment or approval is required Read this before building another Grok Bot - it breaks down the 18 rules, multi-agent architecture, handoff system, approval layer and automation model most agent tutorials never show Bookmark it and build your own Grok Bot team from the full article below
