Four Galaxy S27 phones, three different processors? Samsung could be shaking things up next year.
➡️ A new database listing suggests the Galaxy S27 and S27+ will use the Exynos 2700 in Europe, while the Galaxy S27 Pro could feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
➡️ The Galaxy S27 Ultra, meanwhile, is expected to get the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
➡️ The Pro could also feature a 6.5-inch display, sitting between the S27+'s 6.7-inch screen and the Ultra's 6.9-inch panel. All four phones are listed with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage.
➡️ If accurate, Samsung could be giving buyers more reasons to choose the Pro or Ultra over the regular models.

Samsung is shutting down another Galaxy service, and this time it's Samsung News.
The company has announced that Samsung News will be discontinued on December 21, 2026.
That means the app, its widgets, and the dedicated news feed on the leftmost home screen will stop working.
The shutdown has been confirmed in India and South Korea, with other markets likely to follow.
Samsung News launched in 2023, replacing Samsung Free, which itself succeeded Samsung Daily and Bixby Home. After years of rebranding its news feed, Samsung now appears ready to pull the plug entirely.
It's unclear whether Google Discover will become the sole option on Galaxy devices.

Samsung ranked No. 5 on Interbrand’s Best Global Brands 2026 list for the seventh year in a row, with brand value at $105.2 billion.
Interbrand credited Samsung’s strong performance to AI semiconductor investments, AI competitiveness in consumer electronics, and its One Samsung brand strategy.
Samsung is the only Asia-based company to stay in the global top five every year since 2020.

📸 Advanced camera features the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 offers but the Apple iPhone Duo doesn't. 👇
1. ProRes (Galaxy Z Fold 8 has APV support)
2. Log recording
3. Pro mode controls
4. RAW image capture
5. 8K video recording
6. Saving standard videos directly to external storage using the stock camera app
Apple's first foldable has similar camera hardware, but it misses several pro-grade features available on the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 has earned another big vote of confidence in the US.
Consumer Reports has awarded Samsung's latest foldable its “CR Recommended” designation, putting it alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The organization evaluates devices across several categories, including reliability, camera quality, battery life, and charging, before making its recommendations.
The recognition comes as @Samsung continues to see strong demand for its foldables. Combined Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra purchases are tracking 30% ahead of previous Fold generations, making this year's lineup one of Samsung's most successful yet.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 currently delivers a better foldable app experience than Apple’s iPhone Duo, despite Apple’s reputation for excellent software support. Android’s responsive UI design makes it easier for apps to adapt to different screen sizes, while iOS relies more on predefined resolutions and aspect ratios.
Apple’s unusual foldable design creates additional challenges. Its wider-than-expected cover screen includes a dedicated control area that many third-party apps don’t properly accommodate, leaving blank space and preventing apps from using the full display. Even the inner screen doesn’t match the traditional iPad aspect ratio, creating further compatibility issues.
Apple’s own apps already support the design, and third-party developers will likely improve compatibility over time. But for now, Samsung has the edge: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 handles apps more consistently across both screens.

Samsung has officially unveiled its first smart glasses developed in partnership with Google!
The Android XR-powered glasses use Google Gemini for AI features like real-time translation, navigation, notifications, and contextual voice assistance. They can also capture photos and videos using an onboard camera.
Samsung is launching the glasses in collaboration with fashion brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, with one model offering a bold fashion-forward design and the other a more traditional look.
The first collection is set to launch later this year.
