.. A gift is not the thing that someone gives you. It's the time, effort and thought that someone put into choosing that thing for you. The attention you got, even when you weren't around.. that is the gift. Appreciate that :) #gyaadi

Dr. Pratosh at IISc Bengaluru tells his students that rapid advances in AI are commoditizing intellectual labour. He raises an unsettling question: if companies stop recruiting on campus in the next 5–10 years—even at India’s top universities—what will the purpose of a university education be ? A must watch video for everyone in tech

Deleting WhatsApp chats, storage still full. Not a bug. WhatsApp intentionally saves all photos/videos in 4 hidden folders. I thought it was clean, turns out still stuck with 14.7GB. Here's how to clean it:

The best advice I got in my 20s: Nobody cares. Stop fearing the judgement of people who were never even thinking about you. Nobody is thinking about you. They’re too busy thinking about themselves. Go do the thing.

.. Kahneman + Taleb .. Take notes, absorb what you can!
Nassim Taleb sat down with Daniel Kahneman - two of the sharpest minds on risk ever - and the takeaway was blunt: stop trying to be smart Kahneman's prospect theory explains why almost nobody can do what Taleb does We're wired to hate the steady trickle of small losses his strategy needs - even when one huge win more than pays for all of them So you structure it the other way: tiny safe bets plus a few wild ones, never the comfortable middle. "You'd rather be antifragile than intelligent - any time." "Trial and error is really just trial with small error." "Make your gains in small bites. Take your losses all at once." ~1 hr, free. two legends on risk, prediction, and how to win without forecasting ↓

Worth listening .. worth the time
Krishna Rao is the CFO of Anthropic, and this is his first podcast appearance. He joined the company two years ago when run-rate revenue was about $250M. Today it is $30B. He has helped raise ~$75B and is responsible for the procurement and allocation of compute. I feel lucky we get to hear what it is like to sit inside a company this consequential at a moment this pivotal. We discuss: - The cone of uncertainty - How he allocates compute across Trainium, TPUs, and GPUs - What investors misunderstand about model companies - Why the returns to frontier intelligence keep rising - Platform vs application and where Anthropic builds its own products - How Anthropic uses Claude internally I have asked my closing question about the kindest thing more than 500 times. Krishna's answer is one I have never heard before. Enjoy!
