Strengthening Regional Health Cooperation
IGAD Executive Secretary, H.E. @DrWorkneh, met with Ethiopia’s Minister of Health, Dr Mekdes Daba, to advance regional cooperation on stronger health systems, shared priorities and emergency preparedness.
The Executive Secretary commended Ethiopia’s leadership in regional health cooperation and congratulated Dr Mekdes on her appointment as Chair of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa.
He reaffirmed IGAD’s commitment to stronger health systems and a coordinated regional response to future public health emergencies.
