Am I looking at a bot account based in India, created on 2013, with 0 followers and a furry (?) pfp, which doesn't appear to be posting malicious (or any other) links but solely trying to get people to DM it? And what words in my original tweet could've have triggered the bot?
That's part of the job of being a party leader in Congress. That's why the top jobs almost always go to people from safe seats. They stand in the line of fire to provide cover for their vulnerable members. You should know this.
Chuck Schumer is legitimately one of the least popular politicians in the country right next to Trump himself.
The American people voted for change and that's exactly what we should deliver. To keep the exact same leaders would be to spit in their faces.
Schumer has been Senate Majority Leader before, he is extremely experienced, but there is the practical reality of perception and what voters expect from us.
Jeffries is going to be the Speaker and I hope he represents us well, but Schumer already has a handful of Democratic Senators, like Elissa Slotkin and Adam Hamilton, questioning his viability.
