Gears of War: E-Day reportedly cost over $500 million to develop, excluding marketing. A source familiar with Xbox’s business says the budget exceeds earlier reports of over $400 million. Alinea Analytics estimates around 230,000 copies sold in the first week, generating about $37 million. Microsoft has not yet released official sales or player numbers. A PS5 release probably wouldn’t have solved the problem. Gears of War: Reloaded sold 684,000 copies on PS5, which would have added roughly $33 million in revenue for E-Day after platform fees. If true, the studio is cooked, Asha is coming for them.

Tim Pan and the MediaStorm team put the iPhone Duo through a brutal durability test. He manually folded it 500 times, then used a machine for another 10,000 folds at room temperature, followed by 1,000 more folds at -20°C. After 11,000 folds, the hinge was still smooth and the opening assistance felt essentially unchanged from day one. The screen crease became noticeably deeper after the repeated folding, although the team said this was within their expectations. They also performed a reverse-fold strength test, with the force gauge reaching 37.8 kgf, or around 371 newtons.
