We missed out on the top prize.
But still excited about the journey so far. We placed second in the DW start-up contest at the Global Media Forum out of close to 100 applicants from 39 countries. Congrats to the team.

There is no democracy without press freedom.
On International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, and beyond, we stand by all those who speak truth to power.

ALT A minimalist poster with a white background reads: “Journalists are being killed, tortured, harassed, detained, forced into exile. Impunity must end.” The words “Journalists are being” and “Impunity must end” are in bold, with the latter highlighted in red. A small European Union emblem, represented by a circle of stars inside a rectangular outline, appears at the bottom.

This post is full of hypocrisy. The EU sanctioned several journalists in the last years, without charge, without a hearing, without legal proceedings, f.e. Jacques Baud or Hüseyin Doğru.

❗️ BREAKING: Attackers hijacked the .gh, .sl and .as domain registries of Ghana, Sierra Leone and American Samoa, rewrote their DNS records and got legitimate certificate authorities to issue HTTPS certificates for major global brands and several of Google's own domains.
Chrome is blocking most of the certificates.

As the scale and sophistication of organized fraud continue to grow, countries face a shared challenge that no border can contain.
Today’s discussion at the high-level event, Tackling Organized Fraud: A Way Forward from the Global Fraud Summit, was a reminder that criminal networks operate across jurisdictions. Therefore, our response must evolve and be more intergrated.
Fraud thrives where cooperation is weak, information is fragmented, and victims are left unsupported.
Building resilience requires stronger partnerships between governments, law enforcement, the private sector and civil society.
But progress does not happen by itself. It requires sustained cooperation, trust and the determination to act together.
I encourage those who have not yet endorsed the Global Fraud Summit’s outcome documents, namely the Call to Action on Combating Fraud and the Global Public-Private Partnership Framework to do so, in an effort to strengthen cooperation.
The broader the support, the stronger the signal we send that coordinated action against organized fraud is both urgent and necessary.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

It is imperative that the leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) immediately calls on the diplomatic community—particularly the U.S. Embassy in Accra,to urge relevant U.S. authorities to extradite former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta back to Ghana. This is necessary so that he can account for his stewardship, which severely damaged Ghana's credibility with its international partners and rendered the economy virtually worthless, relegating it to junk status.
Should the NPP fail to undertake this critical task, they risk losing the trust, respect, and recognition of the Ghanaian people as a party capable of delivering accountable governance.
