Employing your spouse/relative was supposed to be banned in 2017. But they don’t care.
Not only does he employ her, he MASSIVELY overpays her.

Jacob Rees-Mogg had almost all his money in Russian Gas giant Gazprom before they invaded Ukraine.
One of the reasons Sanctions on Russians were delayed was so he and other high ranking Conservatives could safely get their money out.

There is no evidence that Jacob Rees-Mogg or Somerset Capital (of which he owns shares) invested “almost all his money” in Gazprom.
Somerset had a small (£5.7m, less than 2% of its capital) invested in a different Russian gas company at the time of Ukraine’s invasion.
