Thank you to @MSKCancerCenter for being incredible partners with @OpenEvidence in our shared goal to end cancer for life.
Over 85% of oncologists at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center use OpenEvidence. Together, @MSKCancerCenter and OpenEvidence have built OncoKB, MSK’s expert interpretation of a tumor’s genetics, directly into OpenEvidence, putting it in the hands of oncologists across the United States. As Dr. Anaeze Offodile puts it: “Our mission is to end cancer for life.” As of today, we are widening OncoKB’s reach so that patients everywhere benefit from the same rigor as patients at MSK. Watch the story.

AI has a lot to offer to medicine. But the scientific traditions of medicine also have a lot to offer AI. @AdamRodmanMD and @BIDMCVFellows Peter Brodeur just led the first clinical trial to evaluate the safety of Google's patient facing tool AMIE. Incredible work!
Our clinical trial of AMIE, a patient-facing AI system, was just published in The Lancet. I want to explain what *I* think this study ACTUALLY means. It's about a fundamental question: how do we know that clinical AI works? 🧵⬇️ xitter.cf/Google/status/21083245…

Some of the evidence clinicians need most sits in specialty society journals that few outside the specialty ever see. We've signed an agreement with @Sage_Publishing to bring peer-reviewed research from more than 300 Sage journals into OpenEvidence, including titles from societies in sports medicine, stroke, headache, anesthesia, and diabetes care. As that content comes onto the platform, every answer it informs will cite and link back to the original article.

“Medicine is a field where you don't need to squint to see the benefits of AI. It's your mom, it's your dad, it's your sister, it's your brother. And it's the doctors who will care for them in their most vulnerable moments.” Yesterday, during the UN General Assembly, we announced a partnership with @AnthropicAI to make OpenEvidence available free of charge to physicians in low- and middle-income countries, placing life-saving medical AI into the hands of physicians worldwide, regardless of the economics.

Let’s go! Excited to get started!
Nearly half of U.S. counties have ZERO cardiologists. Millions of Americans have no access to cardiovascular care. And every year, there are 200,00+ preventable deaths from cardiovascular disease. ARPA-H is ending this with ADVOCATE. We’ve picked the teams building an FDA-authorized AI system for real-world heart care. Building toward an AI cardiologist for every American—always ready, clinically trusted, specialist-backed. Not tweaking the old system. Building the next one. Congrats @ankeetbhatt on ADHERE-ASCVD. Multiple communication channels increased statin use in at risk or with ASCVD. Changing modalities was no more effective as a second nudge. Time from concept to completion <2 months highlights opportunity to improve operational efficiency!

🚨BREAKING NEWS from #ESCCongress: The 2026 ESC Guidelines for the Management of Heart Failure are here, with major changes!🫀 Some of them: 📍HFrEF now includes LVEF <50%; HFmrEF has been removed 📍HFpEF is defined as LVEF ≥50% 📍“Acute HF” becomes “decompensated HF,” including acute or gradual deterioration requiring urgent treatment, even in an ambulatory setting 📍New treatment framework: Foundational Medical Therapy (FMT), Additional Medical Therapy (AMT) & Guideline-Directed Interventional Therapy (GDIT) 📍New decongestion strategy: urinary sodium-guided diuretic therapy may be considered (IIb B), while short-term acetazolamide or hydrochlorothiazide should be considered for persistent fluid overload despite loop diuretics (IIa B) 📍CRT recommendations remain broadly similar, but implantation may be planned earlier after FMT initiation Read more: Https://doi.org/10.1093/eurh… #ESCGuidelines #HeartFailure @escardio @jozinetm @h_arfsten @GTersalvi @DaniTomasoni_

🚨 The 2026 @escardio #HeartFailure Guidelines are here❗️#ESCcongress @secardiologia 1) HFmrEF is gone. Acute HF is gone. NT-proBNP cut-offs are now age-adjusted. Everything that matters 🧵👇 2/ 🔄 NEW DEFINITION — two phenotypes only ❤️‍🩹 HFrEF → LVEF <50% + symptoms/signs 🫀 HFpEF → LVEF ≥50% + symptoms/signs + objective evidence of structural/functional abnormality ❌ HFmrEF eliminated: same aetiology, same pathophysiology, same treatment response as HFrEF
