this is incredible. the left is an AI video using h3 max text to video which took 5 seconds to generate.
the right is a meta human mapped to those emotions using facial expression capture inside unreal engine 5.
anger, fast speech, even tiny micro-expressions transfer cleanly. fear is the hardest, the scream doesn’t open as broadly, so a few expressions need a little nudging.
ideally i would use real actors for the input because they still act much better but the rest of the pipeline can be effortlessly setup with opus 5.5
takeoff in the rain in your fighter jet now.
every drop on the canopy is simulated, and they get blown away over the canopy surface in thin streams.
i've also been building out a cinematic camera baked right into the game engine. you see some of the beautiful shots rendered in this new footage.

i spent way too long making the vapour trails off the wings physically correct.
the game doesn't fake it. every frame it works out the circulation from your actual G, speed and air density, the pressure drop in each vortex core and over the wing, and how much water condenses out of that particular air.
when you pull hard, the wing carries more lift, so the vortices off the wingtips and the LEX spin harder. their cores drop in pressure, the air in them expands and cools, and once it cools past its dew point the water condenses into a cloud you can see.
so it depends on where you fly: humid Key West and the Pacific trail vapour at moderate G, while in the Nellis desert only the hardest pulls show. and past ~25° AoA the LEX vortex bursts into that curly, turbulent mass.
go test it out for yourself. you need to press Tab to go into 3rd person view for this though.

this is the exact same process i use to improve the visual fidelity of my video games.
physics solvers and simulators are great for models like opus 5.5 to learn what “realistic” looks like precisely and then you transfer over those learnings into your video game

Video 2 Physics
I gave Claude Opus 5.5 AI videos with broken physics. It measured what went wrong, solved the real physics with CFD and rod mechanics, checked it with an independent finite-element solver, and rendered it back into the same scene

i grew up playing on the xbox kinect. still think it was ahead of its time.
so i built a pod racing game you control with your hands, right in your browser.
both hands for thrust. tilt to steer. gestures to shoot and shield.
give it a spin, more updates coming soon 👇

This is insane! I got opus 5.5 to create a blockout of a village in blender, then I used FLUX 3 Klein + Fibo 2 to texture the whole map! We pick 128 views around the map and get the image model to texture gray areas, then we project the image onto the blockout. Open source here - github.com/Patch-gg/trompe
you can now make a friend that’ll pull 9g with you.
sign in, describe anyone, and watch your bobblehead get built in real time. then it rides on your dash, bobbling and reacting to every g you pull in a dogfight.

this. this is all that needs to be said.
I'm not sure a lot of people understand what game coders actually do. We're not spending 9 hours a day finely hand crafting artisan software and expressing our inner dreams... 90% of the time we are fighting compilers and existing architecture, having to work out how undocumented code works, and tracking down obscure bugs and behavioural issues.
Most of game programming is just difficult, tedious, laborious grunt work, and the cognitive load we have to endure to get anything done is tiring and frustrating. No game coder is doing it for this 90% of the job.
We make games because the 10% that IS actually about making things fun and expressing ourselves is so incredibly rewarding it makes the other 90% bearable.
Now imagine if there was a tool, some kind of AI agent maybe, which could do most of the 90% grunt work for you, leaving you to just make all the decisions and express your creativity. How amazing would that be. How completely revolutionary would that be.
ok switching to 3rd-person view in my fighter jet sim feels so good.
i’ve been obsessing over the outside of the jets recently.
vapor trails pouring off the wings, afterburner glow on full throttle, the little details you’d only notice up close. now you can just hit Tab and see it all.

I added weekly leaderboards to VIPER 11.
grab bounties. go hunt each other down.

yooo this means a lot coming from the guy who made browser flight games a thing a year and a half ago.
10k pilots flew today with about 200 players online at any given. this is surreal. viper11.com
just opened my fighter jet simulator on the iphone duo. viper11.com
i’m still waiting on my duo order but got to see it live at the apple store in cupertino.
you can’t play the game unfortunately on their demo phones.
so pretty!!
thanks so much @threejs for showcasing my game at the top of your page!!
it's an honor to be recognized for this as i genuinely put care, effort, and a whole lotta love into this game. viperoneone.com
