And specifically, does understanding React still matter?
I'd say yes, more than ever
🧠 If AI writes the code, do software fundamentals still matter? @mattpocockuk makes the case in his talk recording: gitnation.com/contents/why-s…
I got a serious offer of $2.5M for TrustMRR.com, all cash.
What would you say?
I turned down $1M for TrustMRR.
When the buyer reached out, I had just built the marketplace. I replied that I'd consider it at a higher valuation and a similar vision for the product.
A few weeks passed, and the offer climbed to $1.2M.
I would have to stay onboard for a few months. Having worked for myself for 8+ years, that scared me. On top of it, the marketplace started to grow organically recently, and I realized I could turn TrustMRR into something that could last long and not be swallowed by the AI wave.
So yesterday, I passed.
Just like all my other products, I don't know what's next, but I'll build a place for founders to get acquired. Currently, 30 startups are listed per day. That's 10x more than at launch. The marketplace is now monetized at 3% finder's fee, and there's one acquisition a day.

Claude Opus 5.5 + 20 tiktok accounts
= $1,000,000/mo IQ app
IQ apps are a literal money glitch
i've found like 5 doing between
$500k to $1M/MO
and they are all spamming the same
viral reels that are 100% automatable
with Claude Opus 5.5.
to prove this I made a few videos myself
And turned it into a skill
it cost me $0 to produce like 10 videos.
theres no mystery this is literally
The marketing they run
and people have been buying these apps for over 10 years because
its our biological nature to want to prove that we are smart.
so it will always work
I left a free claude skill in the comments that makes videos exactly like this
steal it for your next app:

Some $30M ARR apps barely do organic marketing 👀
Finch reportedly does around $2M/month without relying on influencers, UGC, or faceless content.
The play is simple:
Meta ads → Web-to-app funnel → Higher margins
Less App Store fees. Faster payouts. Easier to scale.

There are 116 new apps quietly making $100K+/month 👀
I looked at every non-game app launched in the last 8 months:
17,100 → generating revenue
268 → $50K+/month
116 → $100K+/month
Most people have never heard of them.

My mindset on @bot has completely changed.
I used to treat them like assistants. Now I treat them like real employees.
Why: an assistant does what you ask. An employee notices what you didn't ask.
How:
Hire them for one job.
Onboard them with a clear brief.
Train them when they get it wrong.
Maintain them as the job changes.
The moment I stopped asking "what can this assistant do?" and started asking "what could this hire own?", everything they could do for me got bigger.
OpenAI has been on a hiring streak this week!
lots of news breaking these days so I may as well sneak mine in if anyone cares and share that I recently joined @OpenAI 🫡
my time at Anthropic was a fever dream in the best way possible. got to help build the growth function, work alongside some really really talented people, and tackle some of the most challenging problems of my career.
incredibly grateful for the experience and excited for what’s ahead. also in case you were wondering, Ant has better coffee/drinks and OAI has better snacks.

ChatGPT has now a big problem.
Researchers at Oxford exposed a massive threat to large language models.”
It’s called "Model Collapse."
And it explains why the internet is about to become a toxic waste dump for Large Language Models.
Right now, AI companies are scraping the entire web to train their next-generation models.
But there’s a massive problem.
The internet is no longer just human data. It is rapidly filling up with AI-generated text, images, and code.
What happens when an AI trains on data generated by another AI?
A new paper in Nature just gave us the answer. And it is terrifying.
When AI models are recursively trained on AI-generated data, they suffer from irreversible brain damage.
The researchers found that the model starts forgetting the "tails" of the original data distribution. The rare, weird, unique, and complex human nuances completely disappear.
It's like making a photocopy of a photocopy.
Every generation loses resolution. The output gets flatter, blander, and more generic, until the model completely collapses in on itself.
For years, we thought the biggest bottleneck for AI was compute, getting enough H100 GPUs from Nvidia.
This paper proves the real bottleneck is us.
If we keep flooding the internet with synthetic AI slop, we will poison the very data pool required to build smarter models.
The ultimate irony? We thought AI was going to make human creators obsolete.
Instead, this research proves that verified, genuine human data is about to become the most valuable commodity in the tech industry.
