The problem with bengaluru is keep electing same candidate or his wife or her husband for decades. Unless we change out elected representatives once in every 5 years u can't see development. The new blood at least do some 30-40% work if not 100% the present lot become complacent
Idk why it’s so difficult to provide basic roads. Going out in East Bengaluru genuinely feels like going to war 😭 And I genuinely love this city. My auto just took a shortcut through Munnekolala to ORR, & this is what I see. @GBA_office @krishnabgowda @ChristinMP_ @TVMohandasPai

Disguised slavery: This Anganwadi worker in Bandi (Kiso, Jharkhand) has to manage the Anganwadi, her baby, and all the SIR work. She has not been paid for 6 months. For months of grueling SIR work she will get Rs 12,000 if she is lucky.

SHOCKER: when CJP’s @AshutoshRanka with his team reached a village near Jaipur to examine the state of a local school, they were heckled, chased and physically attacked by a group of villagers who CJP claims were BJP workers/supporters. Why should anyone resort to violence when the focus should be a serious debate on state of village schools? Note: these videos are going viral and will only lead to more questions being asked by Gen Z and even greater demand for accountability 🙏

A country where children are raising their voices and fighting for their basic rights and future, while cowering, spineless or corrupted adults are staying servile before power. Does that fill you with hope or despair?

The circle of death in sewer & septic tank continues unabated and government remains in silent mode! Three more deaths in past four days - two in Prayagraj and one in Faridabad are testimony to continued apathy towards deaths on Indian citizens! #stopkillingus #sewerdeaths

Inspired by the now viral barbershop site of @ybhrdwj, changed the UI. Made this very serious task a little less serious. Do check if your name ended up in the ASDDO list and take corrective action by 17th August. Site: datachutney.io/karnataka-sir… #SIR #Karnataka #ECI
As a consequence of the ongoing SIR exercise, has your name been deleted from the voter list? You would think that would be fairy easy to figure it out. You would be very wrong. You would have to log on CEO Karnataka website, then find the Google drive link to your district, then go to your assembly folder. And then from a list if numbered PDFs of each booth, try and locate the PDF for your booth. Open the PDF and try and locate your name in it. To make all our lives easier, I created this site to search much more intuitively using using your name or voter ID. Do share your feedback. Note: This data is as on 6th August 2026 Disclaimer: Use at your own discretion. To ensure accuracy, check the CEO Karnataka ASDDO page and the ECI electoral search. Your ERO can also confirm the current official status. datachutney.io/karnataka-sir

This paper gives a fancy name to a problem you can already feel in your bones "The Tragedy of the Cognitive Commons." Checking AI output requires deep expertise. Deep expertise comes from doing grunt work for years. And grunt work is the first thing AI eats So we're building systems that need expert supervision while dismantling the only known process for making experts The paper calls the shared pool of human expertise the "cognitive commons." Every profession drinks from it. Nobody's refilling it. By eliminating junior roles, each company is acting totally rationally, and the collective result: a profession that can't catch AI's mistakes anymore because it never learned to do the work in the first place Who checks AI's homework in 15 years?

The cost of protest. Read this piece by @Shrimansi12 in The Hindu- For many workers and activists involved in theApril 13 Noida protest, speaking out for better wages and improved working conditions has come at a heavy cost, draining their savings and leaving them struggling to find work. The expenses include drafting and filing court applications, affidavits, notarisation, certified copies, photocopying of documents, repeated travel to the Surajpur court for hearings, loss of wages due to court appearances, and other expenses such as food and local transport. thehindu.com/news/national/u…

This is minor cronyism in this govt, done without blinking. The big ones are the ports, airports, mines to Adani & contracts to Adani & firms of BJP leaders & those who donate to BJP via electoral bonds etc. The level of corruption now is many times of peak UPA govt

Looking at the Ruchika Singh fallout through a Feminist Social Work lens completely shifts the axis. It moves us past political theater to reveal a more insidious reality: how the patriarchal state weaponizes the language of "care" to perpetuate institutional violence. 🧵
The witch hunt against Ruchika Singh must stop.

Why is nobody talking about them? Simple. Because they are India’s marginalised! India’s middle-class and the so-called upper castes are deaf, blind and mute to the cries of the Dalits and Adivasis. There is no outrage. No candlelight protest. No solidarity. Mark my words. This very lack of accountability in governance and authoritarianism that harms the marginalised will soon begin to affect the middle-class. The systematic decay will consume them too! By the time the urban middle class finally decides to care, because the rot has finally reached their own doorstep, it will be too late.
She is not a criminal. She isn't carrying a weapon. She is just an Adivasi woman fighting for Jal-Jangal-Jameen and her constitutional rights. This is how she is being treated. There are countless others facing the same. Why is nobody talking about them?? #KenBetwa #Bundelkhand

RSS claims it doesn’t seek government funds, so it doesn’t need registration. Our investigation reveals state-owned ONGC has poured over Rs 670 crore into 20 Sangh-linked organisations that run hospitals and schools since 2013. Dharmendra Pradhan and Hardeep Singh Puri have been Ministers during the time. Do read. Do share. thenewsminute.com/news/state…

Images of the #Adivasi struggle against the #KenBetwaLink Project are a powerful reminder that resistance to large water projects has a long history—from the #Mulshi Satyagraha to the #Narmada movement and now Ken–Betwa. It is worth noting that even Mr. Jay Narayan Vyas, former Gujarat Narmada Minister, has argued that decentralised water management offers a better solution to India's water challenges than large dams. For educational purposes only, I am sharing very selected excerpts from his Gujarati booklet, now preserved in the NCBS Archives. Though focused on North Gujarat, its message has wider relevance. nandinikoza.blogspot.com/202…
