Sorry @tobi, every piece of City comms for the next four years is gonna be these two smiling guys announcing woke lunch programs.
Hey @BradMBradford, @tobi, claims if you were elected, a photo like this wouldn’t be posted by City comms. Could you please elaborate on why he’d think that? Would you pass a motion to ban City accounts from posting any photo of two men in it?

Less than 24 hours into her second term, Mayor Chow may have secured her crowning achievement.

Build Canada really had quite the campaign, beginning to end
First of all, when calculating accuracy for polls you have to check if it falls within the margin of error. For example: Forum’s final poll on Oct 25th (53-43) was in the +-4 MoE and the final result of 54-41. So what’s the margin of error and why does it matter, then? In 95% of cases if you ran the poll again, it would produce a result within 4 points each way. The MoE shrinks with increased sample size. Simply put, you can say with 95% confidence that the true result is contained in that space. If the actual result fell outside of the MoE at 95% confidence level it would be ~2 standard deviations away from the mean. Build Canada’s October 16th poll (Bradford +4.7) had an MoE of +-3.1. The polling miss of 17.1 points (for the margin of victory) meant that the actual result was nearly 5.62 standard deviations away from the poll’s mean. If this was just because of pure random sampling luck, this has a 1 in 51 million chance of occurring. The poll did not reflect the voting public that showed up on October 26th. To attribute this miss solely to voter preferences swinging double digits in a week is an excuse for poor methodology.

Does Brittany not understand that to most Americans a Motel 6 is a very nice and fancy dwelling?
Obama’s Oval Office looked like the lobby of a Motel 6.

Most, if not all of the Jewish folks I know, voted for Chow.
My reaction to last night's result in my hometown: "A vote for Chow was, if nothing else, a vote that didn’t care about what Toronto’s Jewish community has suffered. In the overwhelming majority of cases, I suspect people never even thought about it at all."

More people voted for Olivia Chow to be mayor than Albertans voted to separate from Canada. Noise on social media is just that: noise. These people get followers, RTs, but their genuine influence, the issues they complain about are not real.

I think there are a lot of people on Toronto’s very powerful political centre/right who are going to wake up tomorrow wondering why they went all in on that guy of all the guys.

The biggest lie in politics is that conservatives are strong fiscal managers. They never have been and never will be.
Remember when Ontario kicked Kathleen Wynne to the curb because Doug Ford said she had huge deficits?

Tomorrow, Toronto votes. I am proud to support @oliviachow Chow for Mayor. I have seen her show up for the most vulnerable in this city firsthand. She does not just talk about it. She does the work. Vote October 26th. Number 9 on the ballot.
I know that we can count on Olivia to stand up for people, and their human rights and their dignity and wellbeing. It's so important that everyone gets out to vote on Monday October 26th Olivia. Or we could get stuck with a mayor we do not want and cannot afford. Brad Bradford will say anything to get elected. He flip flops. He cant be counted on. We can't trust him. We know who @oliviachow Chow is. So please make sure you go and vote for Olivia. A Mayor we can trust.

Anyone trying to analyze the BC election result as "the first Conservative win in 98 years" can safely be disregarded as not knowing anything about BC politics lol
If Mark Carney is so popular how did Conservatives win in B.C.? They haven’t won in 98 years. And it’s a supermajority at that. And Conservatives also just won 19 seats in the Quebec election. They haven’t won a seat in that legislature in 91 years. Liberal supporters have convinced themselves that the ridings of the 5 CPC floor-crossers are now Liberal strongholds. They have everything to lose during the next election and they are lashing out right now on this platform.

Conservatives have governed BC under the names “Social Credit” and “BC Liberals” for 52 of the last 74 years. Uninformed people should stop portraying this as the first time BC has had a right wing govt in 100 years.

Polls don't matter. What matters is that you get out and vote for whoever you support.

I am not a huge Chow fan but can we be real for a second… she’s been Mayor for barely 3 years, not even a full term. There are full 1 term Mayors in Canada with far less impressive records. If you’re mad about Toronto today it’s probably John Tory’s fault.
No endorsement from the Toronto Star is which telling about how it feels about Mayor Chow and her record. There’s always an element of the unknown with change. But the incumbent is well known, 40 years in public office, and the Star is saying it’s time for a change thestar.com/opinion/editoria…
