Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) means that the machine improves itself: a machine building its own next version. There is no other explanation for how they managed to release this only two weeks after the previous release.
My kid's teacher asked the students to put their notes into ChatGPT and request it to create an exam. Then have it explain the errors and how to improve (he got 19 out of 20). This is the way!

In my NEON GODs novels I imagined a world where the digital gods (quantum-core AIs) keep all other AIs in check. A fully independent agency called OASIS has the ability to pull the plug on these superintelligences (no spoilers). I believe this is where we are heading.

I'm working on Days of Gaia, book 3 of the NEON GODS trilogy. There's a scene involving a horse pulling a wagon*. I know nothing of the terminology or techniques involved (who does in 2026?) -- an example of AI research to the rescue! (step 1: learn the difference between carriage and wagon).
