If you’re a man and you’re struggling right now - just remember nobody cares and it gets worse.
Cheers.

A POWERFUL SCENE AT THE DELHI HIGH COURT! 🇮🇳🔥
Rahul Gandhi made an appeal today: If you cannot join the protest, resist in your own way. Express yourself. Make your voice heard. 🗿
And now, advocates at the Delhi High Court have gathered to read the Preamble, protesting the alleged police brutality and detention of fellow lawyers.
This is what constitutional resistance looks like! 🇮🇳✊🏽

The detention of Supreme Court advocates from their chambers is deeply disturbing. We are mentioning this urgently before the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India. Arbitrary detention and intimidation of advocates will not be tolerated.
I demand immediate release of the lawyers .

indian tech twitter is living such a delusional life that a single AI model announcement makes them tweet about it for days, yet they have no idea what’s happening in their own country outside their privileged tiny tech bubble

this government’s priorities are genuinely fucking disgusting. just two weeks ago, hundreds of lady shri ram college students were on the streets protesting for basic rights, demanding functional CCTV cameras, better lighting, pink booths, security especially around gate 7 & the back gate. women were on the streets demanding basic safety and the government headed by rekha gupta couldn’t show the same urgency.
but just a day before the Jantar Mantar protest on 10th october, suddenly there’s an order to install 1,000+ cameras around the protest site. THOUSANDS. yeah they successfully installed more than thousand cameras in just 2 days. apparently, the government knows how to mobilise resources overnight when it comes to keeping an eye on citizens who raise their voices, but becomes deaf, dumb and paralysed when young women from one of the finest institution of this country demands protection in the nation’s capital.
they have the machinery to watch you, the manpower to stop you and the resources to control & suppress you. what they apparently lack is the urgency to protect you.
the most fucking shameful part? delhi has a woman chief minister, yet women’s safety seems to be the last thing on this government’s priority list. when women demand protection, the system goes silent. when citizens prepare to protest, suddenly the cameras, barricades and police are ready. if a woman becoming chief minister doesn’t make women’s safety a priority in nation’s capital, then what the fuck was the point of having one? and some of you spineless clowns still have the fucking audacity to defend this government & their spineless actions?!!

I returned to the national capital after 2 am and have rarely seen anything like what Delhi is witnessing now, with checkpoints every few hundred metres, concrete barriers and spike strips laid across our roads, a war-like deployment of 22,000 police and paramilitary across the city, 250 trains cancelled and 45 metro stations closed, and reports of young people being detained from their own homes and the streets in and around Delhi -- all to prevent citizens from peacefully raising questions about the integrity of our elections. Most regressive (as well as repressive) is the suspension of the internet in the heart of the national capital.
Freedom of movement stands completely shackled. Jantar Mantar was designated precisely so that citizens could voice dissent in the centre of Delhi, and today even the roads leading to it have been declared out of bounds. One is entitled to ask where this extraordinary manpower and urgency disappear when women in our capital need protection.
Those detained will hvre to be released .And if the protesters simply return on Monday, will the authorities lock down the national capital all over again? Our GenZ deserves better than an undeclared Emer-GenZ.
A government confident in the fairness of its elections would welcome questions about them, whereas one that turns its capital into a fortress to avoid them only deepens the very suspicions it seeks to suppress. The government should provide answers, not lathis; expression, not repression.
Barricades will do nothing to restore faith in the Election Commission, and the sooner it answers the public's questions, the sooner calm will be restored. The strength of a democracy is measured by how it treats those who question its working, and by that measure, what we have seen today is utterly shameful and unconscionable.
