Some people really need to understand Sonic is a force of nature and almost fairy-like figure. He is the catalyst for change, he himself doesn’t necessarily grow but he effects those around him. He’s not supposed to be directly relatable. You have others for that. He’s just sonic

So many "fans" believe that sonic should be relatable and changing.
They fail to realize that Sonic being a static character is the main reason why his character is perfect and works. It's not to say he's perfect but Sonic isn't someone who conforms & changes.
