We have to mention the limitations the 1994 team faced, in those days there were qoutas on how many African players or foreign players you could have in your teams.
The team today also enjoys many foreign-born inputs, which 1994 team didn't have plenty of.

FG to begin Construction of the Lekki Green Line Metro to in December 2026 starting from Phase 1A (Lekki phase 1- Sangotedo station)
Recall that the Federal Government had already provided its counterpart funding of ₦146.14 billion in the 2025 budget and ₦102.3 billion in the 2026 budget.
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the construction contract in April 2026, alongside rail projects in Kano and Kaduna.
All three projects are expected to cost approximately $3 billion, with construction scheduled to begin in December 2026 🔥🔥🔥🔥
