I've been an SEO since 2013. I called the importance of language models on july 19, 2020. in 2025 I took the dive: my own products, my own static sites, and dupes of the software I was renting. this thread is the full log. every dupe, what it does, why. 🧵

Christopher Columbus raised money for his voyage by convincing the Spanish Crown he would make contact with the Mongol Empire and secure for Spain an alliance with the Great Khan. This is how you do moonshots. Stop cloning Stripe. Start selling dreams to the highest bidder.

"I'm struggling man. My LED Wall business is going through a rough patch and I want to use AI to help." I would scrape the local businesses that fit in a 25 mile radius then start doorknocking. In fact I already have a scraper. I'll do it for you. Here's 3,600. Go get 'em.

"You'd do that for me?" We grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same schools. You god damn right I would. Remember me when you make your first milli.

you know you're really in the mix when you start telling normies exactly what you're doing and they don't believe anything you say. not only do they not believe in you, they don't believe the things you're doing even exist. this is how Christopher Columbus must have felt.

Billions of tokens and dozens of swarms later and i'm out. it got a lot of work done. Lots of sites built and articles written. But Claude just does more. Even without the constant resets. Although Claude cannot burn a week in 75 minutes. That will always be Codex's moat.
ChatGPT Pro users, don't forget that your usage limits are getting cut in half in just 3 days. Terrible news to be reminded of, of course. And the only way OpenAI can make this whole situation any less awful is by releasing a model that's as good as or better than Opus 5.5, while being way more efficient than the current GPT-6 Astra.

A solid case study from Anthropic S1. A restaurant had super long brunch wait times. Owner shared sales data with Claude along with photo of kitchen and dining area. Claude figured out which dishes held up orders and redesigned kitchen stations (bunch service 60% faster).
Anthropic has a whole section of customer case studies with how Claude helped the businesses: ▫️Bristol Myers Squibb: A real-world-evidence question went from up to 2 months to answer to 5 minutes or less. ▫️AIG: Submission review time fell 90%+, and underwriters went from not reviewing every submission to reviewing 100%. ▫️Jane Street: A codebase migration took about 1 week instead of months. One researcher does about 50% more analysis than a year ago. ▫️Legora: Lawyers recaptured 4.3 non-billable hours a week, worth $6.9M of billing per 100 lawyers. A 900-document data-room review took half a day instead of a week. Claude Code seats grew 14x, from about 50 to 700+. ▫️Mozilla: Claude found 22 unknown vulnerabilities in 2 weeks, 14 of them high-severity, then 271 more with Mythos Preview. ▫️Salesforce: Merged pull requests per developer rose 79% and effective output per developer rose 151%. An API migration estimated at 231 person-days took 13 days, about 18x faster. Incidents fell 5%. Slackbot productivity gains, now 8.1M hours annualized, more than doubled quarter over quarter.

In laymans terms, Titanium implants are strong and the body accepts them, but they’re way too stiff because the metal takes almost all the pressure, the real bone next to it gets lazy and starts to weaken over time (like a muscle that doesn’t get used). This was the issue with earlier titanium implants and joint replacements the new implant though are made from a special zinc alloy shaped like a lightweight, sponge-like lattice it is flexible and almost like real bone, so it shares the load properly and doesn’t cause that weakening problem Whats REALLY fucking cool is that its also designed to dissolve over time So its a temporary implant, and as it dissolves, it releases minerals and ions that actually promote your new, healthy bone in its place When the job is done, the implant is mostly gone and your own bone has taken over and is the proper strength -medical engineering is a marvel
today while talkin to my friend (who’s a doctor) I learned something really crazy That the titanium implants don't just sit in bone they actually bone grows into them the oxide layer on titanium surface is chemically close enough to biological tissue that cells can't find the boundary so they erase it osseointegration isn't the implant holding on it's biology deciding the metal belongs there the skeleton adopts the foreign object as its own Cyborg vibes

How many times have I heard people say that they would wish they could be Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great? We live in one of the most ripe eras in human modernity to be exactly that.

I remember the day when you would go to a startup, and the founder would look at you and say, "Oh, you're a full stack developer? Build me a clone of Facebook and Uber. Make no mistakes."
