Horrific. A driver was killed while delivering food to families in Kadugli. The truck was clearly marked as humanitarian.
We mourn his loss and extend condolences to his family.
This is outrageous. Accountability and respect for humanitarian workers must be ensured.

Luke J. Lindberg of the United States has been appointed WFP’s next Executive Director.
He succeeds Cindy McCain, who led WFP from April 2023 to May 2026. Carl Skau has served as Acting @WFPChief since June.

Il est une vérité parfois amère : nous, Africains, peinons souvent à honorer nos propres géants de leur vivant. Pourtant, l'histoire s'écrit à travers le courage de ceux qui restent debout quand tout s’effondre.
Il y a exactement sept ans, le 22 mai 2019, j’avais l’immense honneur de recevoir et d'interviewer le Dr Denis Mukwege (@DenisMukwege), "l'homme qui répare les femmes" et Prix Nobel de la Paix.
Un héritage à ne pas oublier
Plus qu’une simple rencontre journalistique, ce fut une leçon d’humanité. Dans un monde qui oublie vite, se replonger dans ses mots, c'est se rappeler que le combat pour la dignité et la justice en République Démocratique du Congo (#RDC) est loin d'être achevé.
"Savoir honorer nos grandes figures, c'est aussi s'approprier notre propre destin."
