We were taught that Earth orbits the Sun in a closed circle. In reality, Earth has never returned to the same point in space once in 4.5 billion years. Right now, the Sun is carrying Earth and every planet around the center of the Milky Way at 230 km/s (828,000 km/h), more than 18,000 kilometers every 80 seconds. Because the Solar System is tilted 60.2° to the galactic plane and bobs up and down through the galactic disc roughly every 30 million years, the planets trace open 3D corkscrew helices across deep space rather than flat loops. The last time the Sun stood where it stands today, one Galactic Year (230 million years) ago, the very first dinosaurs were only beginning to appear on Earth. Since forming 4.6 billion years ago, our Sun has completed only 20 laps.

Nothing makes me prouder than seeing Assam's youth build their future on merit, not money or connections. Bikash Doloi and Dipjyoti Talukdar were college friends who prepared together. Today Bikash serves in the Assam Forest Protection Force and Dipjyoti in the Assam Police Commando Battalion. Both got their jobs on talent alone, without paying a single rupee in bribes. That is the promise of a transparent recruitment process: hard work is what counts. And they're not stopping here. Both are already preparing for APSC. Many more such stories are on the way. My best wishes to both!

A few people try very hard to spread hate against Gujarat, but this is the reality of Gujarat! An old woman offers tea to an unknown girl from UP walking on the highway! Neither of them knows the other's language, but 'Love doesn't have any language'

She is Meera Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s paternal second cousin. Once again, she has shown that educated, aware and nationalist Indians will not tolerate CJP members abusing the Prime Minister. Such incidents are exposing CJP’s real intentions and its alleged hidden political agenda. People are beginning to see beyond the facade, and the backlash against such conduct is growing. 🔥🧡 And there is little doubt that she too will now face unnecessary trolling and hatred for speaking her mind. 💔

Do you know: This report on India's amazing poverty alleviation accomplishment in the last decade has been on the World Bank site since early October? But nobody in Indian media or GoI of various ministries posted about it, until after Oct 29 when the post I made got the topic trending on X. Now, it is being covered by international media too as a major win for India. I even saw some Indian media covering the story as "breaking" reading the words of my post verbatim! I think it would be so much better if Indian govt and Indian media start looking around for positive stories on India proactively to cover. There are so many around and they are not being taken to the public. Anyway, I am happy I could do my bit for the world to talk about something positive on India. The news has come as a huge dose of whitepill now for Indians.
According to World Bank's latest report, India's extreme poverty has fallen from 27.6% to just under 2.6%. And for Indians living under Rs. 400 a day (lower middle income), it has come down from 57.7% of the population to 16.1%. Remarkable achievement by India given the rupee depreciated and the inflationary pressure of a fast growing economy.

1) 🧵 Recently, there have been tense standoffs between protestors & the security forces due to the proposed construction of the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP). This has also led to intense arguments online. Proponents for the dam claim concerns due to the Medog 60 GW hydro project being built by China upstream in the Yarlung Tsangpo gorge in Tibet. Opposition, mainly local-led by the Adi people of the Siang claim immense loss of culture & livelihood that the SUMP project might bring to their heartland.

Meloni has gone far ahead of Yogi ji in Italy- Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has done in just 24 hours what the men of the European Union haven't managed in the last 30 years! A new policy introduced by Meloni to stop riots in Italy has stunned all of Europe. To rein in violent protests carried out in the name of students, she brought a firm blueprint called "The Anti-Riot Doctrine." Meloni said one thing plainly: "If you take to the streets and spread chaos, we will empty your parents' bank accounts!" Anyone involved in violent protests will face 5 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 euros (roughly ₹18 lakh). She understood that masked rioters with foreign funding cannot be stopped by tear gas alone. She decided to eliminate the logistics and financial support behind them. When she began imposing heavy fines on the rioters' parents and deployed 500 military personnel in the city of Milan, suddenly no one could figure out where all those young activists seen on the streets had vanished, or which caves they had gone to hide in! This is a stinging reply to the "New World Order" conspiracies of billionaires who fund NGOs to destabilize independent countries and use young people as shields. When the financial and legal loopholes available in the name of protest were shut down, the truth about those putting on a drama in the name of revolution came out. In my opinion... this exact model should be implemented in Bharat too!

If I said “I’m Muslim,” would you assume who I vote for? And if I added “I support Modi,” would you stop listening or suddenly become interested? That judgement is part of why I wanted this conversation. Across from me: G. Sudhakaran, five-time MLA, twice a Kerala minister, and a man who spent decades building the Left before leaving CPI(M). I came from Assam with questions about faith, political loyalty and why young Indians choose the Right. I invited him to challenge my choices too. We all want the freedom to think for ourselves. How much of that freedom do we give someone whose conclusions we dislike? Would you hear us both out? Coming soon on The Missing Argument.

There was this overly clever person who thought she could have a field day playing around with the letters BJ in BJP, forgetting that her own initials were the same. Yes, the joke practically wrote itself 😂😂 And when it boomeranged, she went boo-boo and promptly flashed the woman-victim card. #RahulGand
