Great post and exhibit. Don’t you think @MSU_Athletics should provide a disclaimer that 50 years later they are still not compliant with Title IX? Asking for a friend @battleformsu

Great story about Mike Bottom. He made the 1980 Olympic Team which the U.S. boycotted and cost him his chance at Olympic glory. He has since coached more swimmers on to Olympic teams than the entire 1980 roster. Great coach that we are thrilled to have support @battleformsu

In 2009, ASU Men’s Swimming was cut. After that, it took 4 years to win a dual meet. 7 years to score a point at NCAAs. 10 years to earn a top-8 relay. Now, 14 years later, it takes a time that finals at Worlds to break a team record. Brick by brick.

NO, MSU has not approved the reinstatement of men's and women's swimming and diving. But today was a positive start, with the approval of the new pool (as part of the new rec center). Still, program advocates are being asked to raise millions more to ultimately make this happen.
