I’d say very pragmatic when it comes to getting things done. He understands the relationship with the governor is important. His supporters probably aren’t thrilled when they see us standing together, too, right? That’s fine.
Because they view you as too moderate. Do you ever joke about that with them, by the way? Like, sort of the odd couple, like, your young supporters see me as –
I could bring him the grandma vote, yeah. No, we both know what we have to do to develop a relationship, but it’s not that hard.

Think back to 2006, last midterm w/ an unpopular war/GOP president. Where were the biggest House upsets? Places like IN, IA, KS, MN (Tim Walz!), NH, OH, WI, Upstate NY.
That's why I think the Midwest & places w/ lots of secular white voters are especially ripe for surprises.
