Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but Randwick is the best racetrack in Australia to attend. Not too big, not too small. Track is A1, mounting yard good, Winx Stand awesome for just a GA ticket and the old members grandstand is the best place to watch bar none. Top tier.

Take a look at the age demographic of the fans packed along the apron at Australia’s Everest Day. A young, energetic crowd that genuinely loves horse racing. That’s what a healthy, thriving sport looks like. And the data backs is up 👀: 29% of the 2026 Everest crowd is aged 18–24, and 53% of ticket holders are women. The event sold out with 52,000 attendees.
