Anthropic, yang bikin Claude, udah masuk S-1 buat IPO di Nasdaq dengan ticker ANT.
Yang lagi rame dibahas itu adalah angka rugi bersih sebesar $80,7 miliar dalam 6 bulan. Sekitar Rp1.450 triliun kalau dirupiahin.
Angkanya sih gokil ya kalau beneran segitu. Cuman, rugi operasional nya hanya sebesar $693 juta aja.
Terus yang $80 miliar itu apaan dong? Nah ini yang buat gw lebih seru dari IPO nya sendiri, yaitu mengulik angka yang fantastis ini.

When we published Letter #26, the Treasury yield stood at 5.34%. Today, it's down to 4.92%.
Much of the attention is on how the Democrats managed to pull off a sweep. But.. what concerns us more is what's happening within both parties. Political divisions are growing not just between Democrats and Republicans, but within both parties themselves.
And we believe those internal fractures could become a major source of financial market volatility.

Ingat ges. Komponen funding itu ga cuma deposits, ada equity dan borrowing. Jadi LDR di atas 1 itu bisa saja kejadian (bbrp kali sy nemu) dan bukan auto pelanggaran dr OJK. Tapi lebih kena pengawasan dan disisentif GWM.
Di kasus BABP, time deposits 3Q26 YoY memang ada withdrawal besar menjadikan kondisi bank berpotensi tidak likuid. Saya bilang potensi ya. Bukan total pasti ga likuid.
Tapi keadaan tersebut bisa diperparah kalau nasabah secara panik menarik deposit mereka secara bersamaan. Diperparah juga dgn rasio NPL di atas 3% dan mendekati 5%.
Meskipun demikian, bank rutin membayar keanggotaan LPS untuk jaminan saldo sampai 2M di atas ketentuan (saat ini di angka 3.75%, kalo deposito kamu di 5%, itu bahaya tidak layar bayar oleh LPS). Secara permodalan, CAR ~20% mengindikasikan masih kuat, apalagi bank bukan kategori sistemik.
Jangan langsung menyimpulkan ekonomi akan kolaps karena BABP. Saat ini, ada 15 bank KBMI 4 dan 3 yang masuk kategori sistemik dikarenakan skala nya sudah besar atau memenuhi persyaratan. BABP ini bank KBMI 2, jadi jangan langsung bikin narasi our banking system is at risk of failure.

The US midterm elections are coming up in November, with Trump’s Republicans facing the possibility of losing control of both the House and Senate.
Everyone is watching Treasury yields, but when we looked at the last eight midterms, losing Congress did not lead to higher yields. If anything, yields generally moved lower when the President’s party lost control of Congress.
The bigger issue is polarization. A more divided Congress could mean lower yields, but greater political friction could also bring much higher volatility.
And we think there’s a window in 2027 that the market is underestimating.
We then jump to coal. LNG is the most expensive it's been in years, and Asia's biggest buyers aren't blinking. So what are they actually paying for, and what's the cheaper alternative sitting right next to it?
Then there's a unique circumstance in Indonesia. A once-in-a-decade weather event is quietly drying up the rivers that coal depends on, and one miner's CEO has already said what it's doing to their numbers.
Demand is firming and supply is tightening just as winter arrives. Which miners are exposed, and which ones aren't?
