Neat.
VOYAGER 1 JUST CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD Something thought to be broken for more than 20 years has suddenly come back to life on a spacecraft more than 15 billion miles from Earth. NASA’s Voyager 1, launched in 1977, recently faced another problem that could have threatened its ability to communicate with us. Engineers needed backup roll thrusters to help keep the spacecraft’s antenna precisely aimed at Earth. But those thrusters had been considered unusable since 2004 after their tiny heaters stopped receiving power. Then NASA engineers took another look at the old failure. They suspected the heaters might not actually be dead, but stuck in the wrong electrical state. So they sent a carefully planned command into deep space. The signal took more than 23 hours to reach Voyager 1. There was no instant response and no way to intervene if the spacecraft reacted badly. Engineers had to wait. Then, more than a day later, the telemetry arrived. The temperature had risen. The heaters were working. A system believed to be lost for two decades had been brought back to life from billions of miles away. The timing matters. Voyager’s working thrusters are slowly becoming less reliable as fuel residue builds up inside their narrow tubes. Meanwhile, the spacecraft’s nuclear power source loses about four watts every year. NASA has already been forced to shut down instruments to conserve its shrinking supply of electricity. Only two science instruments remain operating. And Voyager 1 is still heading farther into interstellar space. In November 2026, it is expected to become the first human-made object to reach a distance of one light-day from Earth — about 16.1 billion miles away. A spacecraft built nearly half a century ago is still whispering information back to Earth from the darkness between the stars. And somehow, every time it seems ready to fall silent, engineers find another way to keep it talking. Source: NASA/JPL

BREAKING: @UVU just alerted campus that a female suspect threatened to shoot students earlier today. UVU police recommend campus "be aware and vigilant." Suspect still-at-large, but the following photos were released:

Had to take the step daughter to catch a plane in Provo yesterday. Took my wife to Hobby Lobby in Orem. Drove by UVU first time since #CharlieKirk was murdered brought up lots of feelings.

Replying to @KUTV2News
So since KUTV is too busy assuring us that he’s legal and *not* publishing his crimes. He is a 35 yo Colombian national in Utah on a “student visa” and r*ped a 16yo BOY and has a bunch of CSAM. Per @abc4utah

JUSTICE FOR RANDY! El Salvadoran Illegal who was let out TWICE in California- despite immigration detainers- comes to Utah to murder a decorated veteran. Thank you @BorderHawkNews for elevating this to DHS and getting us the scoop on his murderer. “Axel Eduardo Chavez-Marroquin, 24, a citizen of El Salvador, illegally entered California in 2021 and was released into the interior by the Biden administration. In 2024, he was charged with domestic violence in Santa Ana, California, and in 2025, he was charged with domestic violence in nearby Laguna Niguel. On both occasions, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged detainers against Chavez-Marroquin, but officials ignored those requests and released the Salvadoran back into the community.”

Those darn Democrat states that refuse to share thier voter lists! Utah is worse than any Democrat state. @LGHendersonUtah knows her lists can't withstand an audit. As the POTUS said, it is hard to prove election fraud, but we proved signature fraud in our elections, and the courts have done everything to bury even that.

Sandy Petersen, the designer of Doom, Quake, Call of Cthulhu, and Age of Empires, responding on social media to fans asking how to save Blizzard: "We don't need to save Blizzard. We didn't need to save Microsoft or id Software or Ensemble Studios or Atari. We don't need to save ANY game company. If they die, they die. They will be replaced with new, likely superior game companies. Gaming continues." The man who helped build the foundations of modern gaming says let the industry's legacy studios die. Is he right?
