My first thought is that God orders history so His purpose unfolds over time. BTW, we will all, in explaining God's patience, relocate the force of patience in light of His omniscience and timelessness. It just lands differently for us all.

I'll point out again that IF Calvinism is true and God is the sole decisive determiner of who will repent and when they will repent then it makes no sense to say that He's being patient with anyone to do so, whether the elect or all men. That's enough to reject Calvinism.

Don’t empathize with Anakin. Identify with Aragorn. He’s the ultimate anti-doomer. When all seemed lost, Aragorn still acted out of principle & not self-interest. He didn’t change his actions based on feelings or probabilities. He didn’t harbor vengeance. He had a duty, and he risked life and love to fulfill it (saving both in the process).

I don't even know if I'm a good person or a bad person. I acted in my own interest, I decided to choose what I thought I wanted and now I feel so bad. I'm sticking with my decision now, can't turn back now. I wonder if I've always been the problem to begin with.
