44 years ago, this month in 1982, the film adaptation of my novel FIRST BLOOD debuted. I fondly recall the thrill of seeing it with an excited audience. It changed action movies, just as I had the goal of changing action novels.

Every spooky season I always like to throw a horror-adjacent comedy into my watch mix, and this year being the 30th anniversary of THE CABLE GUY made it an easy choice. That nightmare scene actually did give me a nightmare back in the day.
