Turbo gentrification of Gary, Indiana
There’s actually a pretty clear home buying strategy in this for young people but people might get mad about it

Bros about to get wiped on Kalshi and Polymarket
My prediction: R's get 53 Senate seats. If it's a bad night, we get 52. If it's a really good night, we get 54.

regardless of whether you think Nithya should be a DSA endorsed candidate (i personally don’t!) this demand—in purely practical terms—is so obviously setting the chapter and candidate up to fail. i do not respect a maneuver that is so blatantly trying to make an example of her.
Replying to @petersterne
The resolution on rescinding her endorsement (which narrowly passed 14-13) calls on Raman to meet with DSA-LA leaders on Oct. 31 to explain her position on BDS. If she does not satisfactorily affirm her support for BDS, the NPC will vote on Nov. 1 to force DSA-LA to withdraw its endorsement of her. docs.google.com/document/d/1…

say what you will about Brazil’s transphobia(which certainly does exist and hurts many, many trans people) but i can’t imagine any country in the anglosphere electing multiple trans women to government positions.
We don't have one trans congresswoman We don't have two trans congresswomen We don't have three trans congresswomen WE HAVE FIVE TRANS CONGRESSWOMEN CARALHO

Brazil has a transgender congresswoman, talk about progression.

The fact that Brazil can elect a trans woman and their president can embrace her just highlights how backwards and reactionary the UK is.

That there are some socialists who, in a moment when we are poised to take major offices nationwide from fascists, are content to instead go against the momentum & convictions of mass struggle and say that it’s “insufficient” really feels like its missing the forest for the trees
tbh it kinda makes me sad that all the NPC is discussing the week before the midterms is N*thya Ram*n

it’s not the sexiest advice but the thing that’s gotten me the farthest across every stage of my transition is just treating yourself as the rule rather than the exception. cis people can smell when you don’t care and they’re often drawn to it.
The number of trans women on here who seem to think that they are incapable of relating to or existing around cis women is genuinely so worrying and bleak. It's just internalised transphobia and you need to move past it and make some cis friends or you will be miserable forever.

Almost liked a hate tweet bc I’m 🎯 in my answer.
Congressman Sarah McBride: They are trying to revoke Ilhan Omar's citizenship on bulls**t claims that have already been disproven about her age at the point that her father's citizenship went through, because she has stood up to this president and to Republicans in power.

Josh Turek's position on trans healthcare is to the right of nine red states. Medicaid covering gender affirming care has been *the* reason for trans people to vote blue. If I wanted to define "Dems abandoning trans people," it'd be "if/when Turek's position is normalized."

With the way certain Dems on here are talking about Josh Turek, you'd think his "moderate" views on trans people were just about sports or something. This guy is advocating for trans people to have their healthcare taken away and somehow Lib ET isn't universally condemning him.

These additional renderings show the sheer scale of the proposal and how dramatically it could transform the skyline. Would you like to see “Manhattan on the Potomac” built?
“Manhattan on the Potomac”…or Arlington’s greatest unbuilt dream? Rosslyn Plaza was approved in 2016 and nearly a decade later, the massive redevelopment remains stalled. The plan envisioned: • 5 new towers • Up to 2.5 million square feet • 550 homes • A 200-room hotel • Offices, retail and major public spaces • An entirely new street grid across 7.65 acres This would completely reshape Rosslyn’s skyline and waterfront gateway. Would you still like to see it built?

This is 100% true, the truth is that most people are incapable of doing nonpartisan analysis. It’s an acquired skill
Yes, it is about "world view". As it turns out, most people whether they're on the left or the right cannot overcome their cognitive biases. They don't want the truth. They want to be lied to because it's easier than confronting it.

No this was genuinely needed.
It’s unfortunate how much damage Wedgewood did to the polling industry. New pollsters are treated with immense skepticism even if they’re run by credible individuals.
