Every time I buy Bitcoin, I act as if I’m purchasing one hour back with my wife, kids, or their future children a few decades from now.
This is why I buy Bitcoin at any price.
Republicans are fumbling the “Bitcoin” vote.
- crypto scams
- failure to codify BTC Strategic Reserve into law
- failure to secure more Bitcoin than all other nations states combined
Being the Pro-Bitcoin & Anti-Crypto party was an easy win. How did they mess up so badly?
What the election means for Bitcoin (in case you need a little optimism):
This was a setback. No doubt about that. However, there are a few POSITIVE things to come out of the election for Bitcoin last night. Here are a few signs of hope for you if you're miserable today:
1. Florida's new governor wants Bitcoin in the treasury. Byron Donalds won the governor's race. In Congress, he introduced a bill to write the federal Strategic Bitcoin Reserve into law. He also stated he wants Flordia to create it's own Bitcoin Reserve.
This is HUGE. People don't realize that a state like Florida or Texas having a BTC Reserve is actually a bigger deal than El Salvador having one.
2. James Talerico (who I did not vote for, nor do I support) did indeed vote in favor of a Bitcoin Reserve in Texas. At the very least, he's not outright hostile to BTC and may even lend us support in the Senate.
3. While Cynthia Lummis is retiring, her replacement, Harriet Hageman, voted for the CLARITY and GENIUS Acts and cosponsored a bill to stop the Fed from issuing a CBDC.
So Bitcoiners still have a champion in the U.S. Senate for Bitcoin.
4. Pete Ricketts survived his election and is generally on our side. He voted for the CLARITY Act, and he stays on the committee that writes the rules for digital assets.
5. Andy Barr won McConnell's old seat with the support of the Bitcoin community. It remains to be seen HOW supportive he will be... But if he turns out to be a champion for us in the Senate, we'll have a serious delegation.
All this said, Bitcoin doesn't "need" politicians to drive adoption, success, or the price.
The election results don't change anything for me.
Keep stacking Sats. And don't give into the negativity. Washington wasn't going to save you anyway.

6 questions to ask when investing in “crypto”:
1. Is there a CEO?
2. Is it named after a celebrity?
3. Is Dave Portnoy pumping it?
4. Is it a meme?
5. Is it a JPEG?
6. Is it named anything other than Bitcoin?
If you answered, “yes”, you’ve found a shitcoin. Hard pass.
