Google scaled the monorepo. Meta did too. Anthropic just pushed it further for AI - but is the next answer really a bigger repo? But AI changes the bottleneck. Code is becoming abundant. Verification, ownership, and coordination are the hard parts now. A repo tells you what code changed. A graph tells humans and agents what that change means — who owns it, what it affects, and what needs to be verified. So anyone can make a change without understanding the entire system — or being afraid of what they might break. That’s why the next abstraction isn’t a bigger repo. It’s product units connected on a graph. bit.cloud/blog/a-bigger-repo…

the core problem is that AI agents don't reuse, they regenerate. so even if your team has a design system, the agent ignores it and creates a new button, a new form, a slightly different modal. six months later you have five versions of the same component spread across repos and no one knows which one is canonical. @bitdotcloud gives agents a governed library to build from. versioned components with their own docs and APIs, so when Cursor or Claude Code needs a button, it pulls the approved one instead of inventing another. a Fortune 100 company ended up with over 2,500 components and 7,000+ reuses on Bit, which is what the alternative to drift actually looks like at scale.

Ask a coding agent to change a component and it will. Ask it what that change broke and it will guess. My new piece in @TDataScience is about why, and why good architecture makes it worse.

Building an app is now as easy as using one. That's why we started Bit - and today it's true, and it fits in your pocket📱 Now we're launching "Hope: Anything App" on iPhone, iPad and Android. The specific apps you need, live in minutes from your phone - built from everything you already have. AI builders start from scratch - forcing you to re-explain everything on every prompt while wasting time, budget, and adding security risk. Hope builds on the verified assets you accumulate along the way, turning hours of iteration into a perfectly fitted app in minutes. We call it the Anything App because that's what it turns out to be. A need comes up in a meeting, on a call, in your own day - and instead of a ticket, a workaround, or a spreadsheet nobody maintains, it becomes an app. With Hope, one person builds like a world-class team - in the ten minutes after the meeting that gave you the idea. Hope makes building software simple. Hope on your phone puts instant creation in everyone’s pocket. Launch post and download links in the first comment👇

Built two internal apps this week. One replaced our DocuSign workflow. The other runs this launch. Both run on Bit Cloud, where our engineers ship our product. Your agents should build on your team’s work. Bit Cloud 2.0 is live. Details in the reply @bitdotcloud
