NEW: Amazon @Teamsters’ picket line is spreading nationwide. Workers across the country are standing up to Amazon after the company fired 84 drivers for unionizing with the Teamsters. The picket began in California and continues to grow every week.

Don’t cross the picket line! Don’t be a scab! Don’t buy Starbucks coffee while their workers are on strike! There a several coffee shops less than a minute away from the roastery, this is Seattle.

Imagine waiting over 90 minutes in line for coffee made by managers and scabs while the @sbworkersunited baristas are asking you to support us by not crossing the picket line. All you gotta do is leave! #Solidarity #strikewithpride

Notorious union busting group Pinkerton security is at the Seattle Starbucks Roastery because management would rather call the cops and hire dangerous security than simply talk to the workers out here today

After insinuating that our picket will be "unsafe", our general manager hired Pinkerton security to surveil us. By standing directly over us. Often staring directly into our tent down at us. Thanks for the thinly veiled threat! #ToBeAPartner #StrikeWithPride

Union workers at the @Starbucks flagship Reserve Roastery in Seattle kicked off a 3 day strike with a late night walkout Thursday, and our picket line has been going continuously since! The store was unable to open today and we plan to keep it closed all weekend! #UnionStrong

Strike letter from Starbucks’ flagship Seattle Roastery, kicking off a nationwide Starbucks strike at 150+ stores👇👇👇
Eryn Sable, Megan Hlady, and other leadership We are notifying you that the partners of the Pike Street Roastery will be on strike to protest the company's unfair labor practices. The rights to engage in concerted activity, including the right to strike, are protected under federal law by the National Labor Relations Act. Starbucks is prohibited from retaliating against or discriminating against any partner who participates in our strike. Starbucks refuses to recognize the Pike Street Roastery as a certified union shop, represented by Workers United, and refuses to engage with our bargaining committee to negotiate a fair contract. We are taking collective action in response to the company's unlawful decision to unilaterally alter or terminate store Pride decoration policies without negotiating with our union. We are also striking over numerous other unfair labor practices, including but not limited to the company's refusal to negotiate over a first labor contract.

June 5, 1871, anarchist Michele Angiolillo was born. He would go on to assassinate the Spanish prime minister in revenge for anti-anarchist suppression and for the execution of Filipino polymath Jose Rizal. Mabuhay ka! You have acted where Filipinos could not.
