ALT Eryn Sable, Megan Hlady, and other leadership We are notifying you that the partners of the Pike Street Roastery will be on strike to protest the company's unfair labor practices. The rights to engage in concerted activity, including the right to strike, are protected under federal law by the National Labor Relations Act. Starbucks is prohibited from retaliating against or discriminating against any partner who participates in our strike. Starbucks refuses to recognize the Pike Street Roastery as a certified union shop, represented by Workers United, and refuses to engage with our bargaining committee to negotiate a fair contract. We are taking collective action in response to the company's unlawful decision to unilaterally alter or terminate store Pride decoration policies without negotiating with our union. We are also striking over numerous other unfair labor practices, including but not limited to the company's refusal to negotiate over a first labor contract.
