Anyone know about generators? Organising supplies for friends in Napier. I can borrow an old Yamaha ET500 [50:1 gasoline to oil 220 volts/ 50 hz]. Will this run fridge, stove, laptops etc? Or am I best to buy a new one? I can source a Stihl EG5500CX #CycloneGabrielle 🙏

To help you understand the HUGE number below (5000 billions of tonnes of Greenland ice lost since 2002): That’s enough ice to cover the entire contiguous U.S. in an ice sheet 2.2 feet high (about 70 centimeters) (ht @NASAEarth). #FightTheClimateCrisis #FridaysForFuture
Latest changes in land ice mass observed by satellite ---> Greenland losses now exceed 5000 gigatonnes (Gt)! 🚨

Visualisation of #AmazonFires in the last 24H. We all play a part in this story so let knowledge, wisdom, foresight and solidarity guide our actions.
Oh my gosh this is a great short film with the takeaway for me being that farmers need better support. If debt and lack of help to make the change are key blockers to adoption of regen ag, these are solveable problems.
We are in a #ClimateEmergency ⚠️
Agriculture accounts for over half of New Zealand's emissions, dairy cows more than the entire transport sector 🐄🐄🐄
