We had a great time at the 2023 @baptist_sc Legislative Luncheon today with @garyh_scbc and @preacherchuck96
I’m more and more convinced that there is no such thing as an @AmericanAir flight itinerary without delays.🤦

I’m grateful for the ERLC’s support in confronting the gambling issue in South Carolina.
On the latest ERLC Podcast, we discuss the dangers of the predatory industry of sports gambling and how churches can address it. Listen now with insights from RaShan Frost, Bryant Simms, and @dandarling!

This is a good word for us all.
I love preachers.
But preachers fall sometimes and sometimes they fall hard.
When you hear of a preacher resigning due to moral failure, we should do several things..
1. Pray for them specifically.
2. Pray for their family and the family of all involved.
3. Remind yourself that Pastors and ministry leaders are merely men.
4. Don’t put your confidence in your spiritual leaders.
5. Don’t lump all pastors and spiritual leaders together as if they all are unfaithful.
6. Turn to the Scriptures and see the men God used in the Bible. Many had obvious flaws.
7. Failure is not Final.
8. Keep looking to Christ.
9. Don’t put your Pastor on a pedestal but rather put him on a prayer list. He needs it!
10. The closer we get to the coming on the Lord, the more we will see this sort of thing. Stay true to God’s Word.

An attack on a presidential candidate and former President is an attack on the country, red, blue, independent, etc. Our country needs prayer.

I am disheartened by what’s happened in the GOP. The GOP platform may be subject to change, but God’s word is not. Southern Baptists “contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death” and will insist that elected officials do the same.

The choice for the church in every age will always be, Will our identity be shaped by Scripture or by our culture—by the biblical story or the cultural story?
It’s called bait and switch.
I started to pick up on it over a decade ago. It was confirmed in our state last year.
Evangelicals are largely homeless in today’s political landscape.

Did you hear @DrPaulChitwood say IMB missionaries are staying on the field an average of three times longer than missionaries from other sending agencies? Because you give. Because you pray. Because you send. Our missionaries can focus on the work.
Because you hold the rope.

I enjoyed worshipping with my friend @JayHardwick at Forest Hills Baptist in Nashville today! He is a great leader and a faithful expositor and preacher of the Word!
