Don't understand the assumption that the electorate will get more favorable to Republicans; it might, but we really can't tell yet! If anything, historically, it gets bluer and less white later in the early voting period!

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

TEXAS IPEV DAY 3 UPDATE
The third day has consistently gotten redder - the electorates in the tracked counties are well bluer than 2024 but by less so than the first two days (D+11 instead of D+12)
Most of the big counties are keeping their leans relative to 2024: Dallas/Travis/Harris are all running an electorate 8-10 pts bluer than 2024.
Potential EV frontloading in Tarrant for Dems - their turnout advantage has dropped fairly precipitously.
Dark MAGA land is starting to catch up. Deaf Smith, Potter, Randall, Hardin all had day 3 that was *redder* than the day 3 in 2024. Turnout is still horrible there though.
Indian/Pakistani precincts in Collin/Fort Bend are seeing elevated Asian turnout - this is perhaps the Bo French backlash.
Overall EV is more Latino and younger.
Still lots to go, but Democrats are still in the driver's seat. If I had all the rural counties to add in, the recalled electorate would probably be Trump +7 or so. Eminently doable for a Dem to get 7 points of persuasion in this environment - but we can't directly measure that.
I will try to add more counties if they can get me data in time. Next EV space will be on Friday to talk about latest results.

After 3 1/2 days of early voting, no question that you would rather be Texas Dems than Texas Republicans right now. But you should still wait for the second part of next week before adjusting your Kalshi bets because the gap can and sometimes does narrow

It's almost hard to keep in mind, at this point, that Pulido's race is the Trump +18 one.
The 3 South Texas seats that Republicans thought they had lined up to flip (28, 34, 35) are only Trump +10. texasobserver.org/poll-bobby… from @ajcorchado
Henry is one of a number of trial lawyers that boosted Paxton in his primary against the tort reform-aligned Cornyn and are now boosting Talarico. Republicans have noticed, and it’s going to be a factor next session
Thomas J Henry is probably the most prominent trial attorney in the state of Texas. He also supported Ken Paxton with $600k in donations during the Republican primary. I do not know why this flip happened but it is notable

Last night I sent this letter to Attorney General Paxton, supplementing my original request for an investigation that I sent last week. The OAG should investigate the individuals and entities behind the text messages and direct mail received by thousands (if not millions) of Texans, determine how Texans' personal information was obtained and used, and ascertain whether any applicable laws have been violated. The investigation must follow the facts wherever they lead, without fear or favor. #txlege
Tonight I sent a formal request to Attorney General Paxton to open an investigation in to organizations and individuals engaged in encouraging, instructing, or assisting Texans in circumventing, evading, or violating the requirements of SB 12, the Texas Parents Bill of Rights. Of particular concern is information distributed in recent days as a “Back to School Toolkit” by an organization branding itself as “Trans Texas”, containing guidance on not
only navigating but circumventing and violating the directives of the bill.
To be clear, the laws enacted by the Texas Legislature are not optional, and no advocacy organization has a special exemption from complying with them. The Parents’ Bill of Rights was enacted to protect the rights of parents and their children and the #txlege expects it to be followed in every Texas school and in every Texas classroom.

It's really surreal to imagine the world in early 2029 where Europe has its most far-right set of governments since the 1930s, Latin America is, by and large, dominated by the right, but the U.S. has possibly its most progressive admin in history.

Been catching up with TX Rs this week and the things I’m hearing about their internal polls are absolutely demented. Shocking. Like, I can’t bring myself to believe them and would feel irresponsible repeating them
2) Rs do seem to be feeling a bit better this month, and think TX Sen is tightening—a bit. There's disagreement about whether the money is working. But I'm still hearing a good deal of pessimism and bad feeling.
