Following endless weeks of misreporting relating to the asbestos on the site of the former Ulster Weavers factory on Maldon Street, this thread attempts to highlight the failures of all involved

Catholics and Protestants lived in the same poverty...
There was no monopoly on bathing in tin baths, in living rooms with damp, infested walls or going for a shite in an outside toilet...
To say otherwise is complete nonsense...
Unbelievably egregious.
Yet to hear Sorcha or any of her colleagues openly condemn the breaking of the law by those in ministerial positions. Yet when a minister exercises statutory powers available to them in an attempt to restore confidence in our legislature, she and her colleagues are quick to jump on the bandwagon alongside the lawbreakers to publicly ridicule said minister
It appears the Alliance Party have now switched tactics given the damning polling figures in recent days which show they are heading for their worst electoral performance in eight years
Its my opinion that the PUL community have finally seen the Alliance Party for what they are rather than what they claim to be...
Time will tell
Unbelievably, not happy with unleashing months of genuine fear and anxiety throughout Northern Ireland by reopening one of the most painful and shocking parading disputes by letting an unelected nobody lead political unionism by the nose, the DUP are now blocking attendance at a conference with our Prime Minister that was an opportunity to fight for fair funding for Northern Ireland. Honestly, are they wanting to continually harm Northern Ireland? That they set themselves up as the guardians of NI is an absolute joke. The DUP are the biggest threat to the existence of Northern Ireland. Absolute fools.
For the Grammar Police,
Below is the letter signed on behalf of 1,712 concerned Protestants in Northern Ireland that @RhonddaBryant is in receipt of
The AI generated image which was created to thank those who added their signature is exactly that, an AI generated image and apparently AI has yet to master the incredibly difficult task of copying text word for word
Rest assured the SoS received the grammatically correct version

The Garvaghy Alliance & commentariat have totally misread the impact 'Drumcree' has had on the middle ground of NI. Those with no affinity or sympathy with Orangeism for the first time recognise a venom exists against ALL who do not travel with Irish Republicanism & Nationalism

This is hugely significant. Diane is no traditional hardliner.
A few weeks ago, I noted that this issue did not seem to divide along traditional hardline/moderate lines.
It will be interesting to see if anyone else follows in the next few days.

Murder In Belfast ?
I watched this last night & it left me fookin raging 🤬
Here's my thought ...
The brutal killing of Robert McCarthy by the IRA, and the extensive cover-up that followed involving republicans, Adams and Sinn Féin, once again highlights Sinn Féin’s utter lack of integrity, unsuitability for high office and disregard for the rule of law.
Despite the bar being packed with roughly 70 witnesses, a wall of silence immediately went up. Witness intimidation and the fear of the threat of violence kept many silenced and the deluded institutional loyalty to IRA have robbed the family of Robert and his brave sisters of a justice that is long over-due and those complicit (and there are many) should hang their heads in eternal shame.
How people can still support these thugs and bullies is beyond my comprehension, especially ordinary law-abiding Catholics who continue to vote for them and keep them in power - as they use and abuse the GFA for their own selfish needs and twisted political ideology.
IMHO Sinn Féin are one of the biggest obstacle for a lasting peace and harmony between our two tribes and tarnishes our relationship with our cousins in the South of Ireland.

1,712 Protestants have sent a letter to the Secretary of State.
These Protestants are every bit as important as the celebrity cast of ‘nationalist’ Protestants who supported the Garvaghy mob.
See the grammar police are out in full force 🤣🤣
AI still cant do the basics i.e copying text word for word but rest assured this is the version the SoS recieved 😅

They have all completely misread it. They believed loyal Portadown stood alone.
Little did they realise not calling people to Portadown was a deliberate choice.
The call has now gone out, and they are all in for a big surprise.
Stand with the lawful 35. Stand with Portadown District LOL No 1. Stand with the human rights defenders.
We will be second class citizens in our own country no more. The days of unionism must give, and nationalism must get are over!

Michéal Martin to Sinn Féin today:
"I won't take lectures from you, a party that once supported Nazism in WW2. Sinn Féin leaders colluded with the Hitler regime, and Sean Russell was the key person, and your party leader, Mary Lou McDonald, unveiled a statue to Sean Russell".

@timcairns & I have argued over many dinners about Stormont. He’s certainly not in my camp of wanting to tear it down. Nor can he be dismissed as “anti agreement” or a “hardliner”. Id say Tim would self describe as being more moderate.
And yet, even a moderate and extremely reasonable unionist such as Tim thinks the DUP needs to eject Michelle O’Neill from office.
The notion being pushed by those clinging for salary & perks to office that this is some hardline anti-agreement conspiracy is for the birds. All sensible unionists see there is option but to resign the DFM & turf O’Neill out of office.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, SF/IRA/the mob have lost their appeal.
Turns out lodging an appeal against the PCs determination on the basis of “the chief constable didn’t anticipate just how violent we could be” is not a legally valid argument.
Who knew!!

Our core legal proposition, that ECHR Article 11 protects traditional routes, is now embedded in law. 28 years reversed.
This is even more seismic than Drumcree. It’ll restores presumption in favour of all traditional routes.
Those threatening to reopen parading issues must be sweating now. Still want to issue that threat?
