📢In recent years, research on #gender & #radicalization has grown—but often focuses on women, e.g. those who joined ISIS in Syria/Iraq. This leaves significant gaps in understanding other gendered experiences & impacts. A new @ICCT_TheHague report explores these gaps.
Authored by @cissmunich senior researcher Eva Herschinger, @Joana_Cook, Seran de Leede & Anna-Maria Andreeva, the report (2014-2024) maps trends in gender & radicalization research and highlights under-researched areas. It's a must-read for scholars & practitioners alike.
Part of a 3-part @ICCT_TheHague series, the report dives into gender perspectives on:
🔍 Radicalization research gaps
🔍 Prevention & defense strategies
🔍 Extremist mobilization tactics
