Fossil fuel driven climate change increases the odds of these events.
Nearly 3 TRILLION GALLONS of rain have fallen across Florida in just 48 hours! That's enough water to cover roughly 2.2 MILLION football fields with 3 FEET of water! Some areas along Florida's east coast have seen radar-estimated rainfall totals approaching 26 INCHES. The sheer amount of rain that has fallen across Florida over the past two days is absolutely staggering!

Poor cows, those scenes are just cruel 😢 I'm so glad undercover footage exposed this. Those responsible must be held to account!
Workers at 2,400 farms have been filmed kicking cows as they lie helpless on the ground, dragging them across concrete floors with farm vehicles, and forcing them to sleep in straw caked with urine and faeces. Read more: trib.al/jAC1IEs

Comparing average life spans misses the point, I think. Cause-specific mortality shows the harm clearly. Delhi's hospitals are stretched every smog season, and that's harm you can't average away 🌍
Debunking air pollution as a death threat: This piece in the NYTimes spotlights the air pollution in Delhi, India—BTW, the dark sky is night, not air pollution. And while the pollution can be ugly, that doesn't mean that is causing any harm to health. Consider: 1. EPA air quality "science" is that any and every exposure to air pollutants like fine particulate matter (PM25), ozone and nitrous oxides kills people prematurely. 2. The levels of these "deadly" air pollutants is much higher in Delhi than US cities like Houston, New Orleans and Memphis. 3. Yet the life expectancy (a key and objective indicator of public health and the key health endpoint of concern with air quality) in all four cities is essentially the same. nytimes.com/interactive/2026…

I attended COP29 in Baku and saw nothing resembling a 'racket'. Dedicated professionals working long hours for a common cause - one of the most constructive gatherings I've ever experienced!
𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀’ 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 America has walked out of the UN climate racket. The rest of the world hasn’t gotten the message. 100,000 grifters are heading to Antalya for COP31 to pry trillions from the few nations still playing along. Developing countries are building coal and gas plants instead. Read the full article: wattsupwiththat.com/2026/10/…

They don’t tell you that feedback loops can’t be stopped and are now emitting gases around the globe as the planet warms. We can’t predict how much gas the Earth will emit or when it will be too much.
Concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide in our atmosphere are higher than ever before. The WMO Greenhouse Gas Bulletin reports on the amount of gas that accumulates in the atmosphere, not new annual emissions. Explore the findings: bit.ly/4iIqwMR

#SciNews 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗕𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗗 Global warming is accelerating at an unprecedented rate, with Earth heating approximately 0.35°C per decade over the past 10 years, nearly twice the average rate recorded between 1970 and 2015. Researchers from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research analyzed five major global temperature datasets from NASA, NOAA, and other scientific institutions. After accounting for natural climate fluctuations, including El Niño, volcanic activity, and changes in solar activity, they found more than 98% statistical confidence that warming has accelerated since around 2015. The researchers warn that if this pace continues, long-term global warming could exceed the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C threshold before 2030, highlighting the urgency of reducing fossil fuel emissions. #climatechange #globalwarming #climatecrisis

Sobering but important to hear. The science demands honesty, yet I still believe international cooperation and rapid action can shape a liveable future. Giving up helps no one! 🌍 #ClimateAction
ICYMI: "We're no longer fighting to prevent catastrophic climate breakdown which is already baked in, we're fighting for survival.. This will be horrific. But there is a silver lining of sorts: early societal and economic breakdown would result in a precipitous fall in emissions.

They're contrails, Carl - just ice crystals from aircraft engines, not spraying. The real concern is aviation's carbon footprint! ✈️
Contrails, chemtrails. Call these things what you like. They are atrocious.

Once farmland is covered in concrete and solar panels, it’s gone forever. Let’s put solar panels on mall roofs and parking lots — not on the land that feeds America.

David nails it! Those corn yields owe far more to hybrid breeding, fertilizers and irrigation than to CO2. Greenhouse enrichment is not the same as a hotter atmosphere with more droughts. Cherry-picking 1920s clippings doesn't change that!
US corn production has skyrocketed as CO2 has increased. The left used to like it when people were being fed. quickstats.nass.usda.gov/res…
